Beta is not available yet. Chill it will show up on your launcher if you have the latest. The only people the need to download the launcher are those that use steam and purchased horizon beta access.

If you have the new launcher...the one with the new look and feel that came out last week. You already have what you need. When the Horizons beta is ready it will appear as an option.

But that's the thing... I'm using ED via Steam since a long time. And still go through this launcher. And steam updated the last launcher too when it was available. So still wondering what's the difference between store launcher and steam one. Except if they release a new launcher that you use to DL on the store page !

Try re-downloading your old launcher from the My Products page. I did this earlier this evening and mine now says 0.4.4084.0 (0.4.4029.0 SERVER). The Horizons option appeared about 15 mins ago for me.

Nooo... the same thing as with 1.5 beta... Sync files freezes at beginning and eventually I get a message: "Exception downloading file, possible network failure: The operation has timed out.".

What to do with it?

Same error here. "Server refused connection: installer not available."

I had to log out an log in again before my 2.0 version popped up. Still downloading, but till now all looks good. If you get a download error, just keep trying. The installer picks up where it left the download, so eventually things should work out.

Gonna be really serious on this:

It's really, really sad that FD doesn't take precautions for these launches, specially after seeing the number of sales on the pre-orders and knowing exactly the correct number of connections onto their servers.

Just to confirm : Need to use the old launcher. I have download it again from the store and Horizons beta has appeared...Now just need to wait for the download. Time to go to BEagle point and come back...
