Y'know, they said they were releasing Horizons beta today, nobody ever mentioned releasing the launcher for Horizons beta - maybe they have that planned for later

not available yet. Chill it will show up on your launcher if you have the latest. The only people the need to download the launcher are those that use steam and purchased horizon beta access.

Thats not true Steam users got the same launcher update than everybody else

My launcher wont even udate so that I can play Horizon

I'm a beta backer and have purchased lifetime expansion pass(£120) so I believe I'm intitle to play the beta version of horizon as well am I wrong ?

That's the old 32-bit launcher.

You'll need a new launcher which isn't released yet. You'll find it under My Downloadable Products on the Frontier Store when they are ready.

It's in there, just not for CMDRs to purchase and fly.

There seems to be a bit of confusion here but AFAICT you don't need a new launcher. From the support site:

"Steam users will not see Horizons in your Steam Library; you will only be able to see Elite Dangerous: Horizons through the Frontier Store launcher.

Players who already use the Frontier Store launcher will see the Horizons - Beta option appear in your product list in the Launcher automatically!"
