Hmm deleted all file and downloaded from scratch with it done in super fast time (160mb) but now getting cant connect to frontier servers anyone else with this problem?
Most likely that is because a ton of people are trying to connect at the very same time and the server is overloaded. I've seen it happen before.
Now that a large number of people are downloading again; this probably is a server load issue.

BREAKING NEWS: For those with the server-refuses-install problem, I solved it and it now downloads the Beta!
First, I validated my game-files again (can be found in the launcher under "options"), then I tried again installing the 2.0 Beta and it now works!
If you have the Beta 2.0 visible in your launcher, but can't download due to a message pop-up over server-troubles, go under "options", validate your game-files and then try again installing the Beta.

I've just tried testing the random start for a new commander. Still isn't working as intended. 3 piloit cleardowns, and every time the game puts me in Trevethick Dock in LHS 3447. Anytbody else tested this.
Right I have a hanger module and 2 scarabs, landed but cant get the srv out???

Okay after after several reboots validations etc. still cant connect to the frontier server in game so I thought i'd set up my SRV controls but weirdly they are not in the control bindings which is strange,
Live game is tested and working fine I'm at a loss..
Edit: also surely if this was a widespread problem we would be seeing many more posts not just me?

How do you get the 64 bit version?
Only just now today, it specifically says 32 bit on my launcher. I didn't even know I was playing a deliberately inferior version of the game!
Also I have no option to download, select or otherwise even acknowledge the horizons beta and I also preordered as soon as I could. How do you get it to where you can install it?
Press 3 for the menu
did you get the "new" launcher from your downloadable products ? don't sweat it if there's no Horizon - beta specified there and just download "Elite Dangerous - Beta - Download" again and install it(to a separate folder of course) and try running it again

When i enter the new game i don't have my current primary ship (FDL) and my credits level is short by about 20M. I went in the old game and did a save and exit to desktop, re-entered the new beta 2 and i still don't have my ship or credits. Anyone else seen this issue?
Update: Still cant connect to servers thought I'd try a training mission in 2.0 Beta in which all work fine when look down at centre screen (VR) I'm told I need horizons to access this content so it seems my Lifetime pass is not working (hence no SRV controls in options) this is getting very frustrating any chance of looking into my account FD? seems I'm bugged even though I could download the Beta with no problems after the fix.

I have nothing that I can click on to download on the downloads page.
I have Elite through steam, preordered the beta and whatnot, but the page shows nothing.
