Relax, it'll still be broken tomorrow and probably for the rest of the week (although I'm not medically trained, so not sure) so you should be good to go when the beta gets released.

Although Monday! You might want to get a second opinion!

Don't worry, it will be released for Christmas. Might need 3 or 4 patches to get it in an acceptable state but it will be released.

All software released is released with bugs. It just depends on how obvious they are but software companies are good at fixing the most obvious ones and leaving the obscured ones until they can fix them.

I did state in an earlier post, what's the point of a BETA (it's for us to help the devs test it), to help get it sorted for the full release. And, that we expect issues with it (it's a beta!!) and we'd be happy for updates to happen over the next few days, compared to delaying the whole thing.

But, as I also stated, Elite-D is Amazing and the Horizons expansion is going to add a Fantastic amount to the Elite Galaxy, and for that I do thank the devs (and did so earlier). I was just annoyed last night because it seemed that we were only told a couple of hours before midnight (however, I also corrected that after reading a later post that it was sort of announced 2 days ago). And, as I hadn't been to this forum and since there was no news of the delay on the Launcher, I was upset that I'd paid an extra £10 to access the Beta (on the Advertised date of 24-11-25).

Don't worry though, I'm still happy to have paid the extra and I WILL wait for Horizons. But I do still think that the devs have NOT done a great job of communicating the delay, unless you knew about this forum or have facebook (which I hate). And, they should of advertised the Beta release date as an INTENDED DATE (which wasn't the case).

However, I've also tried to remain sensible (as a person) and fair to the devs (as a customer) EG: I've not slandered the Devs and I've NOT asked for any compensation like some other people have mentioned. But, as a Business owner, I know that I wouldn't get away with charging for something, then not delivering it on the advertised date (which has now been removed).

NOT VERY GOOD.... And I'm miffed because I cleared my diary, wife and kids to give me all of Tues, Wed & Thurs (day & night) to play the damn thing. It's a VERY good job that I'm hooked on Elite-D and can't wait for Horizons. But, It's still NOT a good PR move from yourselves............................. blah blah blah!!!!!

At least it's only a few days (allbeit, probably a week or more before I can organize a decent run of it). But I'm still not happy, especially after paying extra to play it on the 24th.

One extra point, no-one has stated how long the beta is to last. And, I'll tell you this, if it turns out to only be until the weekend or something stupid like that, then I'd go from being miffed, to VERY VERY MIFFED OFF!!!

Because, it's a beta, it's in constant flux. But I agree on one point with you. I'm sure Frontier did know well before 2 hours that they wouldn't be able to release the beta. They have probably known it for a few days...

It turns out they did know and I updated an earlier post to acknowledge that they had supposedly given two days notice. But, I didn't see it anyway on the Frontier Store or the Launcher (plus I wasn't a member here until last night) and I don't use FB and it wasn't on the BBC News, as far as I can tell.... lol :)

Great News regarding the Launcher, it's been totally changed and updated today. As far as I can tell it's first class, as it now has a news and update section on it as well.

These 16 pages of posts, probably wouldn't be here if the new Launcher with the news was already here, but it's GREAT we've got it now.... Thanks ED & FD.... :)

They where probably hoping they could fix the issues right up to the last minute. There was always the 'if all goes well' clause in the original announcement of the date.
This has happened in the past and either they end up releasing a very broken (ie: unplayable) Beta or they hang on a few days and get it in a more stable configuration first.
I for one, would prefer it to be stable and usable so we can test the new features properly without the game just hanging/crashing every 2 seconds.

when beta going to be available for download, under account /my downloadable products . There I only see normal ED for download.

its 14:25 (2:25PM) n no new available stuff for download. When for all Beta buyers, the option will appear atstime...i'm asking me, how many time it will try for download??
