Used several 3d softwares, Cinema 4d, 3d Cinema max, Terragen for a few, and the actual compositing and digital painting all done in adobe photoshop

Take a mannequin head, a DK2, an ED cap and a Logitech G633.
Put them all together against a white background, take a picture and resize.

As for my avatar. The fight model of ED makes space ships fly like planes. That made me think of the X-15 experimental (space) plane. It still looks futuristic today.
