How do I switch cockpit mode? Help.

Incorrect cockpit mode press, to switch. Is the single most unhelpful message I have ever seen.
Open options on options menu .
select controls the first option in options then select controls again on next screen...
scroll down to with down key... to MODE SWITCHES... select Mode switches to expand the section...
this then expands "Modes switches" to more options
Then scroll down again untill "switch cockpit mode" select that with a light press Now its asking for a Press from any thing you want to assign to change mode
Press and hold the Button or combos or Key. for a second then release... (what you assign is your choice)
Then confirm the changes and save by scrolling all the way to the bottom to the APPLY option...
you have now applied the new command to swap pit mode...
Repeat for EVERY single new option you want to assign that is listed in the controlls page... Expand and read every section...
The first time you booted the game after update it HIGHLIGHTED on the main menu that you had NEW commands to assign... If you button bashed and just started the game...
then the game assumed you did not want to assign NEW controlls and were moving on...

That is only because you have nothing set / bound to that action.
