how many ships do you have in elite dangerous

3 atm.
-Cobra (The Old ) [multipurpose]
-Asp (Stella. Named after my daughter, she's always looking into stars and wondering what's there) [explorer]
-Vulture (Heta. Named after my younger daughter, she's so mean and always kicking everyones asses=D) [bounty hunter]

Four: Cobra, Asp, Vulture and T7 (which is about to be replaced with Python). I don't think I am going to expand my fleet anytime soon.

I was collecting only one of each type - but I started to spread out a bit - I have 2 adders for small scale cargo runs - about 3 Vultures set for combat, I sold the Asp, felt quite poor now but I think that is as a result of the Vulture being so good. I have a couple of sideys - these were for taxi runs and place holders for good outfitting locations - largest I have at present is T7 - so I think 13 or 14 ships - while I cannot use all - I have a range of ships at the 3 main points I travel around. They are not far apart ~200Ly but easier to swap locally - this means I have not needed to get A rated FSD in the large ships, D rated mods apart from B shields & FSD, A power and distributor.

I only care for one ship at a time. Mainly because I like to do only one thing at any given time and since the sale value of ships and modules = the purchase price of those ships and modules, I see no reason to have more than one. Right now, I run a Vulture because I enjoy conflict zones but when I want to run rares or do normal trading I'll switch to a cargo Asp. The price point is roughly the same given the modules I use.

Plus, I like having money on hand and running one ship allows for that. I don't play enough to have amassed a fortune as of yet so I'm stuck with one of my two main ship options and about 5 million credits in pocket. That may change when Powerplay hits the servers though.

In my stable I have:

sidewinder
Eagle
Cobra
Asp
Vulture
Python

The Python is new, bought it to take advantage of the 16% discount, so just the standard hull as I haven't really had time to earn more cash to outfit it properly but I will me making my trader that is able to take out npc that interdict me. My vulture ofc is my combat ship for RES and CZ etc.

Eventually I want to have all ships fully outfitted in my stable but that is a long time goal that I am in no hurry to finish.
