As for 'hackers', nobody is actually hacking FD.
OF course not. They are hacking the game, not the game company.

People should take a look at this video posted on reddit today.
At around 4:20 :it shows an AI PILOT becoming immune to damage.
I did not joined a group so far since solo is the only option with my internet speed, but is that not a solution the get around possible cheaters in open? Can people be kicked from a group?
The observational bias is strong in this one.A Sidewinder attacked my Cobra- shot back and he stayed at 100% all the time. Happened two times already. Only way is to escape or go offline. Hackers everywhere
... I haven't encountered anything suspicious myself though.
Whenever you meet a CMMDR with unusually resistant ship or what-not, just send that recording to the Devs. The cheater will be banished from Open.
You're lucky! I was cruising in my Python when I got dragged out and attacked by a Sidey..... The moment my suspicion went off, happened when I opened fire and the Sidewinder exploded...
^^
Hacking is really bad in those systems where the flu has broken out...
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, but the mirrored armor only works when your shields are down. The shields absorb the impacts of energy weapons and or ballistics. When it fails, your armor comes into play. I wouldn't use the mirrored armor - most AI and players use kinetic weapons after shields are down.Other times, they hit me with lasers and I wonder why my shields drop, especially with the mirrored armor on, which is supposed to stand up to energy weapons.
