How to find un-explored systems

when travelling tend to plot using the OBAFGKM star classes for scooping
I think that is what I'm using by default meaning that I'm probably skipping many potential systems - I'll play around with galaxy map to filter these out, the problem is what if I happen to jump into a system where I'm unable to scoop fuel from the star. Brown Dwarfs for example - I once ran out of fuel because every system I was jumping in had a Brown dwarfs stars.

True you could miss a lot, just plot as normal and when you start to get low on fuel check the next few systems are scoopable, if not just plot to a near fuel star.
Then just replot back to your previous waypoint.

Thanks - I'm avoiding any of tourist attractions like Nebulae or Colonia highway but I'm keen to find a neutron star or stellar black hole.
Systems with undiscovered neutron stars are among the most difficult to find, don't be obsessed with them.

When I'm Out exploring, After I reach the 750 ly mark, I switch the route plotter to most economical route setting and using the star letters to sharpen the focus for the most likely types of stars for exo. It's not a perfect solution but works ok. I have started doing the exo on single bio signal planets that have been skipped by other commanders. Sometimes its quick credits sometimes it isn't. Always try to enjoy the ride. Love my Dolphin! o7 cmdr's

I hit a new disco just 790ly from Sol last week - I was scouting for colonisation targets.
I consider EDDI, an A rated fuel scoop and economic plotting the essential tool set for this activity.

A D rated repair limpet, minimal shield, Elite Observatory (specifically bioinsights) and G5 Artemis suit are handy (but optional) additions to your arsenal - to cover off those incredible exobiology discoveries you'll stumble across.

Oh and a mental attitude of it all being very much about the journey and sight seeing, not about the getting there (wherever there happens to be)!

EDIT Forgot the Pre-Engineered Detailed Surface Scanner V1 as a nice to have!

How do I find un-explored systems?
My alt has been heading for Sag A* for more than a year (time means nothing after a time), using Economical jumps (his target isn't going anywhere - what's the hurry?).
This journey began by going above the galactic plane and continues on a gently erratic slope down to the centre. With just over 4 000Ly to go, he hasn't come across a previously discovered system in the last several thousand jumps and has claimed first foot on more than 11 000 planets, simply because nobody has been to these systems before (or is likely to go there again).
There are more unexplored systems than explored and it doesn't take a lot of effort to find some of them. There are billions of systems that probably have planets and moons with surface features that will never be seen. It just takes a tiny bit of effort to start looking.

You need to go out at least 1250 LY from the bubble to get nearly all unexplored systems. Along the way you may find a few here and there that have been missed over the years.

Don’t listen to this guy, you don’t have to go that far. People spider out from the the bubble so move in unexpected angles and change directions. Check out non fuel stars and do shorter jumps.

So...you're telling me I'm doing it wrong...thanks for pointing that out, otherwise I may never have known...

As title suggest how do I find un-explored systems? I have been exploring a lot lately but I find that almost any system that I jump into has already been discovered by previous commanders. Having said that I did find few planets with some sort of life where no one has landed before so I did get first footfall there. But how much further from bubble do I need to travel to find undiscovered systems? I'm currently 750ly from bubble and travelled above the galactic plane away from the usual tracks.
Just to make sure: You do know how to discover previously undiscovered planets? (They won't show up in the system map until they are discovered.)
