How to mark and hyperjump to locations being covered by large objects?

High commanders and developers,

I have an issue with the route planer.

I usally plan my flight route to a targeted system BEFORE I start the engines. It is a part of my starting routine. So while in the station I go into the galaxy map select the target system and let build the route. However after leaving the galaxy map and the station I often recognize that the environment arround me makes a hyperjump impossible because the next jump location is covered either by a planet or another large object so I neither can get into hyperjump nor into supercruise. I then need to retarget another system which is in a visible direction to do the hyperjump or I need to point to a target within the current system to go into supercruise. Afterwards I need to go replan the route .

I currently work around it by doing the planning while in supercruise in enviroments with near large objects around my ship.

However it feels wrong that I can go into supercruise while targeting a covered destination in the current system or doing the hyperjump to a location which is covered by a planet ring and not being able to do so when it comes to a hyperjump to a location within another system which is covered by a planet or a star.

Maybe I am on the wrong track and just need assistance to do it right. But if you find that this is an issue, I would suggest to let the ship go first into supercruise instead of trying to hyperjump so that a commander is able to fly around the covering object. This could save time and make more sense to use the route planer while in a station.

Looking forward to your ideas and answers.

There are two separate bindings.
One is contextual. If you have system selected it will try to hyperjump. If not - it will go into supercruise. This is what you are using.
Second one simply brings you to and from supercruise. You need to bind this one to a different button.

Yep, this is the solution.
Means and extra button, but more control.
