I think it might have been PC 10 or 15 years ago, but it's not particularly radical these days.
I know right.... 30,000cr for a Mostly harmless female pilot... Thats way above the glass ceiling.
I realize that the OP is being supportive, but it isn't politically correct to admit that gay people exist. It's simply being realistic.
Now, I will point out that I haven't seen any mentions of husbands for male pilots. There are some references to a partner, which I appreciate. But I gotta wonder if Frontier thinks its safer to have just lesbian pilots. Now, I'm not really complaining: gay women really do need more representation and I don't think the omission is purposeful.
Think this will get the game's rating changed in Russia?

I think that OP's point is that the hiring of this female is 30kCr - the same amount of money that would get you a Mostly Harmless human male. That is pretty PC.

You may be right. But the OP could have chosen any female NPC to show that, one which didn't mention a wife. I purposely sought out a lesbian crew member after a white dwarf cooked my T-9 and first crew member; they aren't that easy to find.
My understanding is the the XBox version has different flavor text.
Homosexual is a word that loses its meaning when a sex change is a menu option away...

As a gay man, I long for the day this kind of thing isn't worthy of being seen as "news." I'd really just like to be treated as anyone else--which doesn't mean being put up on a pedestal every time some gay character gets found in a video game. So what? It's great we're being represented, but that's enough; it doesn't need to be announced.

Target a system. Put it in Famine. Then kill every trader that tries to bring supplies to the system. You can kill tens of thousands of people from the comfort of your pilot chair and won't even break a sweat!
