Online for me. Whilst I almost always lose in a PVP fight I'm happy to have that danger present, it is supposed to be dangerous out there.

Also given the scale of the environment, meeting the same players who attack just for the hell of it is probably going to be a low probability event.

Hopefully I can also fit out my ship so I can run away fast!

Plus, if I do see a player with a significant bounty, I can afford my insurance premium easily and I'm not carrying valuable cargo, then why not have a pop and see if I've improved and get them down to a lower hull % before I'm inevitably destroyed :D

The unpredictability and danger of real people is far more exciting than NPCs.
Also I have flown around many players in the resource collection zone, all scanning each other and not engaging. There seems to be plenty of respect out there so far.
Shaky screen of doom and crash to desktop is the real enemy at the moment ;)

I will play mostly online in the all group.

But sometimes you are stuck in a plane for hours or somewhere without reliable connection and offline is all you got.

Thus, it will be great if the game can be played well without a flight stick. Don't think I can play well with keyboard and mouse, but a gamepad is mobile enough.

I will always be online! that is where the fun is for me. Yes there will be grifers and we can't change that. I do hope that we will see many players be reasonable about it and not completely jerks a 100% of the time.

Regarding the possibility of exploration, it's the race to be first that is the exciting moment, the competition between the players that is the challenge.

I hope in the future that some exoteric planets will have enough content to explore like fauna, wild life and danger lurking in the dark :)

Don't know if that ever will happen but one can dream.

I intend to get the full online experience. Online, All group, no ignore lists. And as a bounty hunter I will be actively seeking PvP encounters

Nope, you will be actively seeking players with a bounty, not actively seeking PvP for no reason.

If the game handles multiplayer like it does currently then definitely all offline. Someone coming in with a poor connection really ruins the game. I might do solo online though.

Didn't know that. How comes that somebody with a poor connection affects others?

I expect to play always online in the 'all' group, but it's good to know if I ever find myself without internet access, then I can start up an offline game.

A mix. On the assumption that the experience will be nothing like it is today. Because if it is, I will be SP only :(

Common problem
with online multiplayer games. From what I've read, the current network structure is not the same one we'll be using and they've not yet done any matching (putting people from the same geographical region together).
Strange. I've been playing online games for many years and I can't believe that I've always played with people with good connections. I have only noticed lag when a place was overcrowded, and I'm quite sure the lag was due the server not being able to deal with the amount of information to process. But just because somebody has a bad connection? That sounds very weird to me.
