HUGE Class Ships

I vote we go the other way.

Jump capable and engineerable SLF's that can't be lauched from bigger ships as the tradeoff.

All weapons avalible to other fighters could be made avalible in fixed/gimbal between it's two hardpoints, one utility slot and the internal options of the CqC ships.

(I know, wishful thinking)
We already have that. It's called the Eagle

Well, unless a combat Huge was added, I believe the game would still be quite balanced on a combat perspective, i'd rather see the panther clipper as a turret platform than a ship for combat performance, Downside to freighters like this is even the Corvette will handle like a eagle in it's blind spots. and I am willing to bet the Panther clipper would have a minimum rebuy of 50M, sooo as long as you don't play open you won't go bankrupt and lose everything :D

Buy if it sticks to the lore, 3200t (sticking with this number as I think the site has I typo) would be easy enough to churn 50M per run doing missions (my 500t cutter can do around 7-12M in missions if placed correctly ;) Making these Huge ships an 'Endgame' grinder if anything.

I'd have to say no to the addition of huge ships as they wouldn't really add any extra depth to the game but instead just require a vast amount of development resources and steepen the learning curve for players. They'll just be another one of the minigames plastered on top of everything else rather than being part of a cohesive whole.

On top of the above reasons, there's plenty of headroom left for large landing pads. An Anaconda upscaled into the dimensions of a Beluga would have about double the internal volume, which is basically what the Boa was in FFE. Considering how all but the largest ships could have successors that are 50-100% larger in terms of volume, plus ships like the Panther would likely make good use of the available internal volume (in FFE the Panther was basically a box with engines) and most of the ships in ED have pretty terrible space efficiency (the most efficient ones are the Cutter and Hauler at about 0.7 tonne / cubic metre, most ships are 0.3-0.4). In all, ships of 2-3 times the internal capacity of the Anaconda wouldn't be unreasonable within the bounds of the large landing pad, which is more than enough headroom for a generation of ships larger than the Cutter (which would include the Boa and the Panther, plus possibly a Federal Frigate and Imperial Carrack/Caravel).

I do a lot of work for the AEDC, more often than not when I get to an area that I need to be in, the board and my loadout never matches, thus I've got to ship one of my other's. After a day or two because of the duration I can play. My job is done and it off to another system, and it's the same thing again. Though I can well afford the shipping, I hate the wait time. Having a craft where as I can park alll my ships and have access to my various mods if need be would be a real assest when it come to time. I mean I've had my toast and coffee, lunch isn't for another 4 hours, and I'm itching to go to work when, whoa, 30 minutes to ship a ship. When one is ready to go, 30 minutes is a life time. I don't care what it cost, I've got more cr's than I know what to do with. Common FDEV, give me an excusse to spend it.
