Human Surface Signals???

Since FDev has to test Odyssey, anyone ever tried landing on some of these "Human Surface Signals" to see if you can get into the atmosphere?

There is a Human Surface Signal on Shinrarta Dezhra which is not a carrier or other orbiting thing. It's on the planet. I have been circling it trying to find a hole in the boundry layer.

EDIT: It was there well before the advent of FC's. So, lets say Fdev wanted to test landing on atmospheric planets. They could do it in a locked system, or right in front of everyone on the home planet and who would know.

Which planet?

Shinrarta Dezhra A 1 Founders World. It's an ELW

OK, that's not A1. This is A1. https://eddb.io/body/58

But Founders World does have a Human Signal Source above it; Pilot's Federation Secrecy, a Tourist Beacon. These come up as Human signals in the FSS.

Guess it was the planet designator I saw, but in the upper right corner, it states 1 Human signal detected and for some reason, Voice Attack says "You have found Human Structures on this planet". But the system panel does not show 1 human signal or structure.

I guess what I am saying is that I can account for the probe in orbit, but I cannot account for the human surface signal.

That is the Tourist Beacon. Voice Attack is just interpreting it as a structure, which is incorrect. Not completely VA's fault, as it can't tell the difference.

Don't get me wrong, the implementation like this is bad; I'm complaining about this exact thing in my other thread about the Coalsack and FCs right now... because the FSS will interpret Tourist Beacons and, unfortunately, FC's as "Human Signals" which are no different to human surface signals, things like Voice Attack can't tell the difference.

This is a common question raised often, and unfortunately the answer is always the same. There's only one case I'm aware of where it's a genuine signal on a non-landable planet surface, but that comes up as an "unknown" signal, and you can actually see it as a POI on the surface (but not get to it)

As an example, I'm here in the Coalsack, and just scanned a planet and get this (akin to your screenshot)

That's 16 FCs in orbit, and no signals on the surface.

You go there and scan that planet, Voice Attack will tell you "You have found Human Structures on this planet" as well I'll bet.

Tourist Beacons work exactly the same way as FCs in this regard.

Ok, I buy that. I live at Shinrata Dezhra and everytime I enter and leave the station, I hear it and today, decided to investigate, Then the thought occured to me that Odyssey will bring atmospheric landings and what better place to test it than at Founders World, being an ELW right outside my door. I assume when Odyssey arrives, folks will want to land there.

I just checked it out, and I see the same thing.

I also went to the Coal Sack Nebula, and the planet I chose at random has 4 biological signals, so went to check those out.
