I have to agree with the OP, I think the viper has more "character" than most of the ships. To me the viper, sidey, anaconda and cobra are the iconic ships in the game. The viper is fun to drive especially in tight quarters with the excellent lateral movement, and who doesn't love that thruster sound??

I don't understand why people say that the Vulture is made of tin foil. My Vulture, after losing it's shields (A4 and 2 A boosters) could survive forever in a HICZ (High-Intensity Conflict Zone) with all of the other slots being used for the best hull reinforcement. Also, canopy hasn't been bad since 1.2 Beta, at least for me.
first I'm hearing of this....but then I'm pretty new around here. From hearing my clan-mates talk I get the impression the Vulture is a tanky fighter.
That's what mine was like, exactly....all the best hull reins. BUT then someone said something like and im paraphrasing " yeah, but if they target your powerplant, you're dead, with hull still at 87 for eg. (I know this, i've done it to NPC's myself, I can't believe i didn't think of it lol) Best we invest into even greater shielding perhaps?
A tanky fighter that is more maneuvrable, agile et nimble than the Viper, actually. While of course keeping the resistance and firepower of a tank.
But there is nothing unfair or unbalanced in this. The ship is way more expensive than a Viper.
This is unlikely, and hard to confirm, unless you had a second party target you and look at your shield strength as the impact occurred.
The Vulture's hull isn't particularly fragile, but many of it's internals are fairly exposed.
Oh, I don't do PvP, so doesn't matter to me lol.
