I am in and the Planets look insane!

I got in for about an hour earlier just to check if it ran on my rig, really. Have to say the planets do look stunning, really enjoyed landing on an icy world and wandering away from my ship. I'd love to be able to set up a deckchair and Thermos flask and just take in the view!
So you’re saying, having finally got “space legs” .... you wanna sit down?

Some people are never happy ... 😂😂😂

Ahh, don't take the opinions of people too stupid to realise you don't play a game, ANY GAME, on patch day.

I keep seeing this posted... yet plenty of games work just fine on patch days.

I also think that it's really, really weird to blame people and call them stupid for expecting a product they purchased to work.

It might make more sense to blame the company that failed to use their sales data to add capacity in preparation for the load today.... but that's apparently crazy talk in video game land.

Honestly - this kind of attitude is why companies get away with delivering sub-par/buggy products and unreliable service.

It's a major update that pretty much changes the way the game runs, and you expect it to work on day one?

I've never seen a single MMO that didn't have problems on patch days - maybe tell me which ones you know that don't and I can go play them cuz they sound amazing.

I mean I could be wrong, but I'm not sure it's down to being unprepared, more the aws architecture gets hammered on fdev launch days. 25,000+ concurrent users all logging in - failing - logging in - etc.

That is what I think as well, there are more than usually trying to login and the servers cannot respond in a timely fashion and so it is increasing the fail counters until the server just kicks people to get rid of the load and being able to handle the rest.

Lol well they close off steam players it seems!

That planet looks so pristine, because space is still so freaking dark and no ambient lighting in the ship as well. This let's colors appear to be brighter.

Yeah, where are the stars in the OP's picture? It does look overly dark...

I was wondering what all the fuss was about. If this is it, then that explains why I don't get it - I already have this in Horizons thanks to a certain mod ;)

Seriously though, I'd love to see "before" and "after" shots when it comes to things like random ELWs, because I really don't see what the fuss is all about.
