Horizons i can do missions that i dont have required rank for is this design or bug?

i just did a data delivery that needed broker rank and i am merchant only. i now got offered a mission for master rank when im competent.

the description says as rep increases you get higher rank mission with higher risk and reward - so is this a bug or is that what they mean? that because im allied with that faction and the federation they offer me missions higher than i would get normally with my current ranks?

The removed the rank restriction for missions, the rank listed is now there as sort of a difficulty rating.

what r your rank's. i did a elite trade mission ( only broker ) but have both elite combat and exploration. in mission desciption it said that my other ranks took over the main requierment.

Did one of those missions above you current rank and this happened just a few minutes ago (I'm still in the game).

I got a mission in where I had to carry 88T of an unique wine to a system, then a message told me to go to another system and I'll get a bonus if I make the delivery...So here I am in that system with those 88T of wine sitting in the base and not a single message telling me to deliver my cargo and finish the mission at all.

I have no idea what to do now because this is the first time that something like this happens. Mission is 1 million plus credits so I don't want to waste that wine...lol

i guess you could try the original delivery station or try relogging. i just came out of supercruise next to reightler station in procyon with two missions. one gave me an update - can you deliver those membranes faster commander theres a bonus - 0H0M in red. immediately followed (during docking!) by the message i hadnt met the bonus deadline but they still need the goods... its known issue so they don t need any more bug reports on 0H0M bonuses.

I heard that if you are 'lost' on a mission and can't find your target , do the following:

-jump to the destination system
-scan the nav beacon.. your target will then be identified and become a persistent navigation marker.

I honestly haven't tried such a thing myself, but its worth a shot if you have a mission that seems to be in a stuck state. I suspect they implemented this to try to work around the missing target bug (I'd consider it a bug) prior to 2.1.

I had a similar problem. Arrived to do a Delivery and nothing on the Board.

Eventually, I worked out that part of the Mission Reward was special cargo and my holds were full. I had trade cargo I had brought to sell.

When I sold some cargo there was space in the hold and the Mission Handover appeared.

Gotta ask as you make no mention that you did so... you did open the mission board at the new destination to hand it in to the contact right?

There was a bug in one of the earlier Beta builds where after being redirected a proper contact wouldn't be listed in the mission board at the new destination, but haven't run across that bug since Beta 4 so always figured Frontier had fixed it.

Going to try that, buying some stuff and sell it there but I have more than 128T of cargo space and only using those 88T from the mission. (I'm flying a Python)

I play the game since release so yes, of course I checked the mission board (tried to get in and out of the base a couple of times, reboot the game...etc) and contact list but nothing there. It must be that bug then because there is no contact in that list to retrieve my mission.


Edit before posting: The mission was just a simple Boom time delivery...can't deliver it at all, tried all of that and nothing happens. Great...just great. What a waste of time.
