I cant buy ARX in the store

Good afternoon.
I have to turn to you already here.
Can you explain when I can get a response to my "ticket" that I filed on December 17th or the message I sent on December 22nd?

I tried to buy ARX in the official store and got an error. I tried different maps. Failure.
After that, I tried to buy ARX in the Steam store. The purchase was successful, the money was withdrawn, but nothing was added to the game. Failure.

I'm so sad.
Please fix both issues.

Did you submit a ticket or did you contact customer service? Two entirely different things, if it's an issue outside the game, specially with money, always contact customer service.

Did you get email acknowledgement of the ticket? If not then the ticket (support request) was not completed properly.

You should be able to see your request if you log in to support and then click on "my activities" in the top right. It will show status and any messages.

P.S. I forgot to mention that you can view all your ARX transactions in you "user portal" https://user.frontierstore.net/ - have fun.

OK - there is your issue - that is not a support request. That is a system they put in place for bug reports - the call it the issue tracker and it is pants.

You need to submit a support request here:


There a member of the support staff will look at your account and investigate your issue. Hopefully they will sort you out before too long.

Frontier support staff are excellent.

Make sure steam is correctly linked to your FD account, use your steam account to login & your ARX will magically appear.

In fact, the response to my ticket was:

Thanks for getting in touch.

To access Arx purchased through Steam you will need to link your Steam and Frontier accounts. You can do this via the following instructions here. You will receive a partner key as part of the process to redeem in Steam and add the game to your library.

Once those accounts are linked, you will then need to restart Steam, relaunch the game and use the 'Steam Log In' option on the Elite Dangerous launcher. You can review the instructions for this here.

Your Arx balance should then update.

Well it has given you the opportunity to make multiple posts moaning about it - so some silver lining - eh? ;)
I'd rather be playing with the games I paid for with my loved ones, instead of complaining on forums, trust me.
Four copies of Elite and 2 more of Odyssey. Not an insignificant investment. Not to mention the four PC's and
controllers needed to run them. How's that silver lining again? I have every right to bich and moan.
 
Just in case, I use my steam wallet and always buy arx through the website arx.elitedangerous.com, logging in with steam credentials. You can check it’s all good once you log in as you should see your current arx balance (and formerly your commander name, not lately seems). The payment option should only be steam wallet. Always works that way.
