I dislike the Engineer changes...

lol. For nearly two years you guys have been complaining about the Engineers and now you want them to stay the way they are. Crack me up.

I for one like the proposed changes. I think they'll improve the game overall.

The irony is delicious.

Right? [rolleyes]

The credibility of this particular group of naysayers is beyond ZERO at this point.

No you see because if I say there's more grinding just by saying the word 'grinding' then that means it's true, even before the Beta starts, because you see I have special supa sekret access to the dev build and I can tell you 100% that there's going to be more grinding, and a bit more balanced progression which is bad obviously, and I won't feel special any more. And furthermore

You, sir, make a compelling argument.

Alongside the fact that maxed out ships will soon be the rule instead of the exception...

It is like introducing a new module grade, "AA" or "A+". At least there will be variety in the type of maxing we'll see. I prefer long range weapons instead of overcharged, for example.

I think the changes are great overall. I'm not too keen on the apparent grind wall buff though for "casual" engineering. I generally have other things I like doing in the game.

Grandfathering in "god rolls" for some things which you'll no longer be able to achieve in the game seems a little off-putting to me though.

Fortunately I only have FSD range mods so far, so I won't have any unfair advantages over newer players or the like.

The grandfathering is something they could do better i think. what with some of the ridiculous effects you can get with enough rolls.

Personally it think they should roll all modules to mid current grade (rather than optional top grade -1 as planned) in new system to remove the secondaries and ensure a level fiture playing field with a bit of compensation for the mats spent.

Based on everyone I know on my friends list, the majority of God Rolls are FSD range focused. All of mine are as well.

Having a few more LY of range over the average player is not going to adversely impact anyone else playing the game.
