Sold mine yesterday (together with many other Ships) to avoid dumping xxM Cr into the upcoming Credit Sinkhole for Equipment changes.
Wasn't fun moving them all to the Boneyard. Not fun at all (and I don't even consider the money I wasted on their Paintjobs).
+1
Just sitting here thinking exactly the same thing...
30+ ships all over the place.
The thought of going into Solo in my 35LY Conda to sell everything and move back to FW isn't a pleasant one, but it's starting to make the most sense. I think I'll keep/store the large ships at FW and sell off all the modules at 100% and then just park for a bit until the 1.3 rollout dust settles.
Beginning to see a pattern here as every upgrade seems to be more revolutionary than evolutionary and requires a whole new evaluation period to develop a new approach to gameplay.
I'm kind of getting tired of this, but it is the way it is and FD seems to like it that way. I spent months earning "Allied" with all 3 major factions and it now looks like that was just a waste of time if I understand that the changes in 1.3 will just make that impractical to maintain.
The only consolation on the 10% module charge is that many of us early players have way more time testing and outfitting our rides; a luxury newbies won't have.
For me testing configurations was a major fun-part of the game. I'm really sorry to see that change. Looks like I'll have to buy another spare Anaconda to use as a weapons storage/hauler.
Time to sell out and regroup. Maybe an extended exploration trip in a Hauler makes the most sense for the next few weeks.
