I finally did it!

Yes, after all this time, I finally travelled the 200ly to have a look at my Freeagle.

It's been sitting gathering dust since release, and I really expected to find the stereo nicked and it up on bricks.

However, I was pleasantly surprised when I got there to see it in reasonable condition, so I bought it back home with me.

After a few modifications, of course! :D

Not a bad ride at all...

I haven't even sat in mine yet, just know its out there and one day when I'm bored I might bring it out. I think it still has the shrink wrapping on.

Mine is still where I left it, too.

That said, bought an el-cheapo on in Beta last night and flew it for the first time. I like!

I will never sell my Freagle. Has served me well in many battles, and in return I have poured the credits back into it, outfitting it to the max as a combat fighter craft.

:D Me and Freagle forever!

Well I transformed into some mad ship collector and am going on a quest to own all ships , so far I am trying to make my eagle useful to me when I have a vulture

Sold mine yesterday (together with many other Ships) to avoid dumping xxM Cr into the upcoming Credit Sinkhole for Equipment changes.

Wasn't fun moving them all to the Boneyard. Not fun at all (and I don't even consider the money I wasted on their Paintjobs).

+1

Just sitting here thinking exactly the same thing...

30+ ships all over the place.

The thought of going into Solo in my 35LY Conda to sell everything and move back to FW isn't a pleasant one, but it's starting to make the most sense. I think I'll keep/store the large ships at FW and sell off all the modules at 100% and then just park for a bit until the 1.3 rollout dust settles.

Beginning to see a pattern here as every upgrade seems to be more revolutionary than evolutionary and requires a whole new evaluation period to develop a new approach to gameplay.

I'm kind of getting tired of this, but it is the way it is and FD seems to like it that way. I spent months earning "Allied" with all 3 major factions and it now looks like that was just a waste of time if I understand that the changes in 1.3 will just make that impractical to maintain.

The only consolation on the 10% module charge is that many of us early players have way more time testing and outfitting our rides; a luxury newbies won't have.

For me testing configurations was a major fun-part of the game. I'm really sorry to see that change. Looks like I'll have to buy another spare Anaconda to use as a weapons storage/hauler.

Time to sell out and regroup. Maybe an extended exploration trip in a Hauler makes the most sense for the next few weeks.

Did that last week. As I jumped I remembered that I forgot to sell the Hauler I bought to get there...so now I have to go back and sell it sometime.

I love my Eagle.
I don't use it much as there are "better" ships around but in the Rift the Eagle is intense. A full on hooligan machine with elastic band guns for weapons and a wet paper bag for defence.

It doesn't earn much in terms of cr/hr but that's not the point. It's fun.

Hehe my Freeagle is now worth some 2.5 mil and weirdly, she's the one and only ship I never had to rebuy :)

I'm never selling her, 10% modules resale or not.
