I hate Elite Dangerous

There are definitely some ways the mechanic could be built upon.
I have no issue with fines turning into bounties, though sometimes I feel it's too quick to escalate from one to the other.

I would like stray fire to incur fines when you hit authority targets for example, rather than turning an entire faction against you. So if you hit them it's say a 100cr fine for "reckless" shooting, a few more and it turns into being deliberate and then turns you red. Any shot that causes hull damage should immediately result in becoming wanted. (The argument being hitting shields doesn't do any harm, therefore you should have a little bit more wiggle room regarding tolerance)

Another item is that I would like to see the system I am in and my status in that system front and centre... Don't ask me where but somewhere useful. The detailed version of how much the fine or bounty is is totally fine where it is, but an at a glance option would be helpful.

You thought that was bad, I journeyed out to North America and Pelican Nebula across to Sadr down to East Veil and back across to Elephant's Trunk Nebula's, then something got me REALLY curious a strange double line of bright white stars, NGC 7822, I HAD to go explore this astonishing stellar nursery, so after close to a 1000 LY trip. I hit a hurdle a BIG hurdle my FSD could only achieve a 20 LY jump, well I spent a day faffing about edging closer and closer, exploring the galaxy map (maybe there's a backdoor entrance?) but no, nothing nadda, zip clearly you need a drive in excess of 25 to 30 LY jump range :(. What did i do LOL ,Self Destruct!

But, I will return with a fully kitted out Asp explorer.

Thats because he probably wont play anymore...

The Pay OR get shot is a Much better Idea but hey, who are we, just the people who get frustrated and leave...and no you can't have my stuff, mainly because there is no way to give it to you...another Wonderful game mechanic, or lack there of.

Follow the rules and you won't die, simple as that. Nothing frustrating here

So, I explored the Coalsack, 500ly out and back again. I explored, scanned, over 75 star systems, and mean FULL detailed surface scans.

I returned to Founders World... and the station blew me up. when I got my ship back.

ALL THE EXPLORATION DATA WAS GONE.

Bloody Elite Dangerous I hate you.

Wow nearly as unlucky as the guy who pushed the wrong button in the insurance screen and lost 8.5 mill.... Oh hang on...

1. Stations blow you up for a reason.
2. Insurance screens never glitched for me, if it did I wouldn't push random buttons I'd screen shot it and raise a ticket.

Me thinks we have a rager or a trololol.

i avoid most of these little precious moments by travelling unarmed. and i cash in my cartographics whenever i can rather than waiting till i get home. and dont do slaves, or narcotics, or firearms. and only tea and coffee if its fairtade. boring innit!

Some form of indicator on the HUD panels that one has a fine would not go amiss. In the same place where it tells you that you're wanted, for example.

Actually I'll raise this in the DDF now.

Getting killed by stations for a bounty of 300 credits is hopefully not really working as intended.

It's like getting a speeding ticket in real life, failing to pay it within 24 hours and becoming a shoot-on-sight target for every policeman and the military.

Isn't that how it is in the US right now?

I ticketed psychotic Feds in Beta 1 when I first heard the PA in the space stations. Loitering is an offence punishable by death. State sanctioned murder with heavy weapons for holding up the queue at the car park. A bit kind of unbalanced isn't it. But then FD are kind of unbalanced aren't they. Why only last week I ticketed one of the Lead Designers who was obviously delighted with the game mechanism he'd invented for allowing dead Slaves to be sold as Animal Meat and cannibalized, whilst there is no mechanism for liberating Slaves outside of the Bulletin Board. Psychos. And they still owe me £50 for the Founder Membership of the Elite that I paid for and they never implemented. So whatcha gonna do?
