I'm about to hit 1850 of them scanned in a row. I'll head back home in another 800-900 or so. Shooting for another 150 today
I first traded until I could afford an Asp, and have been out exploring since. Hit a few interesting-looking nebulas and clusters, and finally headed for the neutron star fields. My only fear right now is that I will botch the landing on the station to hand in Aimless -> Elite in one fell swoop.
The grind isn't too bad, there were some interesting systems in between.
What I really, really dislike though is that I can't toggle between Map View and Realistic View while on the info panel -- or that even if I do that, I have to leave the galaxy map and reopen it to see the configuration of the system I would jump to in order to avoid a vector that'll land me in a binary sandwich and lose it all. This leads me to not bother with that switch and simply prefer non-binary systems (unless I see something really interesting like quadruple neutron double black hole systems or some such) since it would really, really suck to lose all that data in one fell swoop, too.
