I have managed to get the Dukes of Mikunn to start a takeover of a neighboring system

Been trying that since the beginning. There may be one. There used to be no trade, and now there are tons of NPC trade ships. When I first got to Mikunn there was nothing flying around not even system authority

that is worrying me. if that 1200 people private group just works vs that cause, noone can do something about it than throwing a larger group against it doing missions. no open conflict possible that way. solo and private group is just ... well we had that discussion ;)

Bad news.

Some event removed our Pending Event: Expansion

Our pending event is now empty

The good news is that I have determined there are THREE status types so far:

Pending: BLANK
Pending: Expansion
Pending: Expansion Critical

Note as per original, just before we expanded to HR 7327 it said expansion critical.... Commence speculation.

Yes, try to avoid ones that involve killing Duke's associated ships. We are unsure whether or not having a bounty on their heads negates the harm losing a ship does to that faction. So careful with your bounty hunting.

Greetings commanders.

I would like to join you in this undertaking, however at present it seems I can't make it to the Dukes location. According to my map, Mikunn is some 114 LY away from my present location. I'll endeavor to make my way over as soon as I can.

Map lies, often you can make it when you cant. Sometimes you need to give it time to plot the route. Report to The Black Hole when you arrive =p

Also all mercs have been issued a ComWatch... a handy device on your wrist for you to check if you want to know the latest target. This will significantly help me reduce the private messages and forum posts asking what to do. Asking is NOT a bad thing. I just have limited time, and if your question can be answered at a central location then all the better. If it doesn't answer your question shoot me a message.

Is it possible that we HAVE finished expanding? We have a 9-10% foothold, now it's time to play that system normally but only for expanding dukes to 100%?

After all, Mikunn had some 10% factions that no longer exist and sys status was normal.

Im not sure what Mikunn had or didn't have at the start as it wasn't my original intended target, so I am hesitant to say. Anyway, I think you might be right. I have noticed an "up arrow" next to factions that are gaining influence in a system.

That being said, the pending status is expansion again. I have no clue. All we can do is row at the oars, watch the results, and pray to the Dev gods for some sort of documentation.

Well, sh*t. Check if we're moving into kwatee it may be a rapid expansion into other areas??
*assuming expansion means get 5-10%+ influence in another zone.

If that's the case then we gotta work on HR like normal... but since its a lot bigger I think HR will take a while for us to see results, but once it's starts moving it won't stop (bigger things have more inertia!). We'll gain momentum and eventually turn it to our cause.

I'm starting to think that these things take a LONG time, I think things move faster with smaller populations, but changing large populations will take days and days to see results. I mean, it's a group of 1,200 trying to conquer a group of 33,000,000. It can't be easy.

Finally allied with the Dukes of Mikunn! Received 10 delivery (courier) missions a few minutes ago to the same system! Will keep doing these, especially if they target good ol' HR!

Also someone pointed out (and I verified) that we have "expansion" in the pending bar again. Still no up arrow for influence.
