I actually told a very eccentric negative minded cmdr that trying to be constructive can be a good thing to cope with to high expectations. He gave me neg-rep with the comment "abusive". I found that really funny
It's not directed at negative posts. Honest! 95% and sensible but there's some madness out there on the forums.
Enjoying the game just now, sure it needs quite a bit of polish and content in certain areas however that's not detracting from my enjoyment right now, and I know when (or 'if', if you think along those lines) will add to my enjoyment. The fact the features are missing or whatnot right now, while disappointing, isn't making it less fun for me.

It will continue to be developed after launch. Just look at that ingame footage!!!! You can see smoke leaking out of pipes, fire, it will be an amasing adventure!

Nice post, I see the games shortfalls, but most games have these and improve over time as they are patched, For a game that isn't even released yet ED is above average in my opinion.
And a thank you to you for giving us the EDTracker, just took delivery of mine and its a game changer and in such a minuscule package
Ah, them be the days. I go all misty eyed when I think of all those times where I would practice flying with others in a failed Impeccable Defense mission. No guns, just cool heads and crazy flying (and the occasional capital ship humping / Sidewinder baseball)
This game has come on leaps and bounds and I enjoy every minute I play it. I can't wait for galaxy shaping events to make everything come alive even more.
We are almost one year away from the release of Alpha 1 who could forget the optimism? Such a polished first Alpha with all the possibilities ahead of us. More innocent times with each of us young and free before the weight of the worlds problems crushed our spirits.
