I might be too early, but i don't think titans will be killed in a few days

livestream reiterated to keep going at taranis and that can correlate with the upped speed.
I saw that in an AXI target update relayed just now. But the mentions of “Titan Heart destroyed” would make you think it’s not going to be doing very well when those are dropping. Interceptors generally go down quickly once they’ve lost them and the ability to self-repair.

… and I’m also beginning to think the “damage resistance” stat possibly implies some threshold required before, well, this starts happening to a Titan. But that’s a big maybe right now.

I can already see people making bets how many hearts will be down by the time the weekly reset occurs.

Not that I’d find this to be a particularly fun bet, mind you.

There's a decal on the line now, so I guess everyone's going to jump on XD
Something from the stream?
I was in there a bit but wanted to change up my ship a little but its a 45 min jump time.
Did get some bombing in before I was the only one left to turn around and see a sky full of scouts. 1000 mosquitos still hurt.

They also implied that we were not paying enough attention to the others.
The other Titans are nigh indestructible with their current levels of damage resistance and Taranis is kind of the punching bag for player revenge after the havoc its arrival caused…

… so they really should have expected it to become target priority 1 and for basically everyone that wants to fight Titans to pile on it.

I don’t suppose we’d have to check for the Titans getting new [uninhabited] controls planting more barnacle matrix locations to make spires out of?

(Still not sure this will actually solve the Thargoid problem but I’m not gonna stop the course of events so I’ll be watching and seeing if things do go horribly wrong somewhere… or if they don’t.)

There was also something about supply lines I couldn't quite follow which sort of implied the state of surrounding systems (or bodies? I dunno) has an effect of some sort. Was that a thing already?

I don’t really know I have been out exploring since before they found the Titans in the Maelstroms.

After the release of awesome spires with a lot of different new stuff and several playable scenarios, this update - at least the titan killing part of it - feels like an extreme disappointment and a wasted opportunity.
There was such a big potential for a great, interesting and complicated event, but instead we're given a corn cob to kick, kick, kick repeatedly, and kick it again.
Even glaives which could add some complexity and non-linearity are (mostly) removed for some reason.
Titans could get some visual damage, animation, bleeding, whatever with each destroyed heart, but no, we only get the message and a darkened row of the corn. So sad.

It will take until the beginning of summer. That's when Fdev have pegged it for.

Flimley

It will take a while until the other Titans even notice our attacks, I guess. But It will be interesting to see what happens when all of Taranis' hearts are destroyed... which I assume will happen within like the next 15 minutes or so. I kind of doubt it will just naff off when the last heart / ring is done...

I assume your statement is not to be taken at face value and rather a reference to it just getting absolutely slammed since yesterday. It is only about to go down to three hearts(last update lists heart 4 at 90% progress).

And either more lasting damage will be applied once all the hearts are gone or it opens up some other stage of the fight. I dunno. It just running off or shutting down seems a little too simple still.
