There's no transporters in Elite lore, so actually, it's the stairs and that blue ring fooling us to be a transporter is actually very gamey and unimmersive.Give you a transporter and you want to take the stairs?
Welcome Aboard, Doctor McCoy!

How about the backdoor lifts(?)OPs choice of wording aside. I think it would be great for one of the updates to eliminate the blue circle and allow for boarding via the entrances available and choose your exit too. It can still be a fade to black in a similar way to getting to the SRV, but the cockpit is already modeled so getting up from the captain's chair to access the doorway to then disembark or board the SRV etc.. would be most welcome in my mind and seemingly as doable as the Fleet Carrier bridge, though of course needing more work due to there being more ships. A captain's quarters would also be something that would be a great addition as a bonus.
Definitely!How about the backdoor lifts(?)
Fade to black will do as an incremental step towards proper interiors. It's not been contentious for all the while it was used when boarding/exiting the SRV or SLF in Horizons, for example.Trust me i wish we could walk into our ships. Fade to black is no good
I wouldn't say that, obviously the interiors aren't modeled but that sort of thing can be accounted for in a general sense when designing a ship that could have impossible dimensions.Further evidence that FDev never really intended to include ship interiors is the scale of those stairs.
Walk up to them and you can see they are huge, only ever meant to be seen from fairly far away. o7
That's not really true though, is it?
Well, my point was, by the time they arrive, the game will have died and no one will care. That's not really true though, is it?
DOA means 'Dead on arrival' and ship interiors haven't arrived.
You'd be more accurate with
"Ship Interiors - Gone, but not forgotten"
Seems unlikely that FDev will develop ship interiors for a dead game.Well, my point was, by the time they arrive, the game will have died and no one will care.

Yes please. As much as i desire full ship interiors this would be vastly better than what we have now Thank you very much for your support and vote

I understand you very much. Everyone has different ideas. Thank you
- I need to find something more meaningful to do with my life than leaving inane comments on a game forum.
- I hope all commanders will support this development thank you very much!
Thank you very much for supporting the progress of this project
