PvP I recently joined the dark side

Recently I went on vacation, and over that time I started playing around in Coriolis on some potential PvP builds, namely a hull tanked dropship and a shieldless sidey with rails.

I've since been able to test both out on live targets and it has opened up a whole new world. The sidey is particularly fun to go out and interdict with. Lurking in credits-per-hour systems for targets is very fulfilling.

I just need to git gud with my aim now, but maybe I'll look forward to being slaughtered by some of you soon.

You should try the DBS if you like the sidey so much. Mine has 2000+ integrity and can stay in silent running for 2:20 seconds while still going 440 the entire time. If you use a low thermal load weapon like multi's and 4 heat sinks, you can pretty much be invisible the entire fight and it still packs enough of a punch to kill a CZ Vet.

You say that you can "stay in silent running for 2:20 seconds" by that do you mean 2.2 seconds as that is a very short amount of time, or do you mean you can stay in silent running for from 2 to 20 seconds ?

2 minutes and 20 seconds at full thrust "no boost". If I shoot, it goes down slightly. My resting temp is 15. I got a really good thermal on my dirty drives and use a low emission power plant.

oh so you are the loser who takes down my unarmed cargo-less passenger-less ship twice in a row.
Boy you must feel really big and clever doing that.
Sad sad individual.

Oh go on, he said he wasn't gud with aim yet. Go and get him back. He did say he was waiting to be slaughtered.

I have had people turn and fight back. Some I won, some they won. Every time was a learning experience that I enjoyed, and I like to go to the effort of finding the ones who did blow me up to send them a GG or something like that. I love when they shoot back regardless of the outcome.

How clever do you feel flying an unarmed cargo-less passenger-less ship?
Pretty damn clever, thanks for asking.
Never have understood the spawn camping mentality in any game type, be it here or a fps, just seems like waving exercise.

PvP if you want but hey pick a fight with some form of challenge, using a what effectively is battleship to sink an unarmed liner hardly merits as a fight.

If spoiling the game for everyone, who doesn't play like you want, gives you a thrill then I wonder what sort of person you are.

No wonder people eventually stear clear of the open arena.

Those who do this lame excuse for PvP clearly have got bored with the game, my suggestion is go find something else to do

What's the maneuverability like on that thing?

Edit: Just made a build on Coriolis, and yeah, I can see it being quite deadly and fun to fly.

DBS is one of the most agile ships in game. Exceptionally fun to fly.

If you need a practice duel or two, more than welcome to add CMDR StiTch! on PC

My heat sink spamming Cobra recently got owned by Vin flying his T9 with an array of weapons specifically Engineered to combat small cold ships. (Its almost as if he knew I was coming!!)

As a result I am considering making a few key modules B grade and upping the integrity. I don't think it will make much difference to the boost but could save you from a reboot repair mid fight, which pretty much finished me off.

I doubt many people will have the same loadout but it's worth thinking about.

If you're just starting out, and just learning to aim while flying against pvp, ships like yours make great and logical target practice. Use a shield, get some weapons, learn to high wake. No sidey will every qualify as a battleship. Nor should it have killed your liner in 15 seconds. You can be angry at him AND take some responsibility for yourself.

Shields gone in 2 seconds systems disabled and dead in the blink of an eye. He wasn't using a sidie, was a fully pimped federal dropship. Had zero chance to do anything

And in a ship as helpless as yours, whose fault is that?
His !
Sure if his aim is to be the schoolyard bully beating up the defenceless kid the he won.
Personally I don't get my kicks out of ruining others players game style.
If I had cargo or a bounty then fair enough, did he really have to kill me just for the cheap thrill?
Wonder if I'd been in a fully kitted Type 10, would he have even tried the interdiction, I don't imagine he would. Bullies pick on weak targets.
