"I remember when..."

I remember when I was recording live radio transmission of Spectrum Elite version and endless tuning of my cassette player head.
Was able to load and play the game but because of errors I could not save my progress. So I played 7 days and nights with almost no sleep.
I was cooling my Spectrum with 2 large fans. It survived, but my TV died.

I remember premium beta and getting an Oculus DK2 my first VR headset and thinking gaming will never be the same again... got hooked spent days grinding out the money for a Hauler with SIXTEEN TONS of cargo space!! loaded it up (without the rebuy), launched and promptly overheated it blew it up and lost the lot... 11/10 would launch again :)

I remember my only gank I experienced...

I remember my emotion of revenge while engineering a PvP Python and learning to fly well...

I remember the time when Slinks Eye got a CG and I settled there...

I remember the time when I ran out of credits to pay the insurance and had to use a loan to recover my Python...

I remember the time when I was scared of flying in CGs...

Oh man, yeah... I forgot about that comedy and tragedy moment in my development. 100% with you [up] just with a Vulture.

Hehehe, I never got to see again the guy who ganked me but there was another one who humilliated me and others (4v1, he won) and I did get to try and beat him but I failed :( although in all fairness he was a long established PvPer.

Someone said there was a highly profitable trade route at Achenar 6 and watched the ensuing carnage of 6+g landings:

Also when NPCs got bugged engineering weapons:

We need more of that crash video kind of incidents. "Crashes cost. Kill your speed, not your credit balance." is not a suggestion.

I remember when ...

- Erimus and R4nger0 met at "Rendezvous Point" (named after their meeting) on the far side of the galaxy and the thought that two commanders could actually do this was so incredible that many of us tuned in to watch events unfold live and stayed glued to Twitch for hours.

- Surly Badger came up with the Fuel Rats and a bunch of us signed up on a forum thread and then sat around waiting, for days, wondering if anyone would ever run out of fuel and call us, and whether the rescue concept would even work.

- Frontier started talking about an SRV, and I argued that it should consume fuel (basically 'cos I liked the idea of rescuing stranded buggies), and then FD added consumable fuel ... but not SRV refuelling. :-(

- Getting that first Cobra was a medium term goal and getting an Asp was a long term goal.

- We had the ability to create forum polls.

- The first griefer kill happened at Sagittarius A* and the exploration community was outraged.

- TJ was blameless.
