I want a dog. On the bridge.

I'm currently in the living quarters of the Kalashnikov, and on an icy world.

I am snuggling with my Jack Russell, Fudge.

Euro Truck Simulator has dog bobble heads. Maybe if we ask FDEV real nice they will sell us one for our ships.

Not good enough...I want a doxie in a Remlock and Mag booties running up the walls and across the ceiling trying to get on my shoulders to help kill baddies...grrrrrrr

You'll need to feed him, clean up his poop, and walk him every day though...

.......why not?

Shouldn't man's best friend be there, sitting in the empty co-pilot chair, as you wage war against a wing of Vultures? Barking in anger at those who threaten its master? Whimpering in fear when the shields go down and the module reinforcements slots are reduced to steaming, black goo? Walking in front of the cockpit view, trying to get your attention on the way to Hutton Orbital?

After the battle I'd take my dog for a walk through the ship (with my space-legs of course) and feed it some animal meat. [big grin]

Of course, this should take priority over the rest of Beyond, so if the wizards at Cambridge could get cracking on this for 3.2, I'd be grateful. :p

Cats are the superior space-pet, and everyone knows it.

But no space pets until we get escape pods for our fighter pilots, as well as escape pods for our space pets.

Why not... first we need some lugs in our cockpits where we can chain them to, though, to keep them from floating too far away. Another advantage: In case of a canopy breach we can at least sell them as animal meat afterwards ;)

It could be a way to say they’ve fulfilled the promise of space legs.

“See that do walking around your cabin. 4 legs walking in space right there”

No animals in the cockpit please... The space cats we have at home are enough to boost me into a station's wall while docking. Those beasts know where the boost button is and run across my keyboard at exactly the right moment to cause maximum damage. I unbound it from the keyboard now and it's well hidden behind a hold button and press another function on my hotas. Impossible to do without thumbs.

I would be cool to see a Space Herpe scitter through the cockpit area every once in a while if neglect our maintenance!
