Opinions are good, even negative ones about ED
Nothing against someone preferring SC
But Mod team, this I am afraid has all the hallmarks of a troll post and is alas getting a response that is to be expected.
But, if I am wrong (happens often enough) then may I recommend this be at least moved to either General or at the least anywhere other than the Support thread.

Out of interest did SC release the "dfm" the OP was talking about?
Personally I love the idea of both, but ED is here, playable, now.
Its in my dreams, then I go play it..
When SC is released I hope to pop over and play aswell, its not a case of one OR the other

Elite: Dangerous is a game of freedom with consequences, which in this case means the community keeps the freedom to post but suffers the consequence of information-free responses.
Frontier Developments don't need us to defend them - as a community we should just avoid posting in threads that don't add value, so they can quietly slide down the list.

I backed both games and RELISH the chance to play SC when I can...
genuinely excited but I feel the points the OP makes about ED are a little harsh and unfair.
It is a game in development, and a lot of the points you made show that you have maybe missed a lot of information like upgrading ship, bounty collection to raise funds for trading, the stations are all coriolis currently for these builds until they have others ready,
so the restrictions you are worried about are purely for beta testings..
I do however straight up disagree with your graphics comment, I find the graphics stunning.

LOL, you indeed chose one of those ships that made me ask in shock what the hell had happened there. There are a few nice models, but far too few to my liking.
Many look incredibly contrived. The models will severely limit my enjoyment of SC.
I have always been a huge fan of the Homeworld series of ship designs myself. Almost every single design in those games is so jawdroppingly awesome.
