Some of us have better things to do than waiting for ED updates, y'know, things in real life! If and when this stuff arrives, great. Til then I will play ED as much as real life will let me!

Gotta admit that was a waste of time and money. I'm only 6 months into the game and I did fine when I was totally noob i.e. I got beat up very early on and went solo. Problem solved. Working on getting better in solo. Will return to open when I'm ready for it.. There was no need for new player content, us new players loved the game as it was.
If you're still having fun playing ED then good for you.
That doesn't mean however that others lost a lot of their interest in the game.
I'm definitely not waiting for any update whatsoever, when good stuff arives or enough bugs get fixed then I'll definitely pick up playing ED again, if not then I'm done with it.
In the meantime I've got enough other games to play and since the weather is improving towards the summer I've got plenty of other activities to entertain myself.

Ugh winter, I'm glad I could take down the roof of my car today, 27 celcius and tomorow even higher.
Tomorrow we're off to the beach, nothing better then a nice terrace, dip in the ocean and a cold beer, and my kids finally off the couch doing stuff outside.
I hope the upcoming months go way faster for you then for me

He continues to claim that FDEV deliberately lied about fleet carriers in order to (somehow) generate revenue. Which doesn't even make sense. Relevance to the game 0. And the proof for his claims is that a feature that was delayed didn't make it into the game yet after 6 months so it absolutely must be abandoned, regardless if Frontier never told us a release date. Relevance to the game: 0. Even when a FDEV employee confirms that fleet carriers are still planned he just ignores it. Relevance to reality: 0.
Stop defending trollish behaviour. This thread isn't about the game, it's about a troll having a personal crusade against Frontier without any rationality. There is a lot of legitimate criticism, which is even coming from so called fanboys. This thread however is not legitimate criticism.
Might or might not be true. Karde is still right tho. The personal vitriol critics regularly receive is very different from the vitriol they address to the videogame.
Given that some make a point of saying that frontier's plans are liable to change, then of course they may change again and the missing parts of beyond may disappear into the great beyond.
Wasn't exactly defending trollish behavior (that's up to the owners if they're mature enough to ignore the words and take the meaning).
Was more providing a counter to white knight malice. Its truly awesome that many people here are adults so don't simply fall in line when bullied like in most other game communities.
Its a tough one for frontier though, because the sentiment of "trolls" here is frontier need to step up their service, first in terms of the game, and if they are not willing to make whole the game speak to for itself then via community management. Doing neither causes problems because most adults don't get away with the same themselves. Lol happy are cults arent they

Vitriol and attacks are only okay when they are giving it but never when receiving it, all of a sudden.

The OP thinks that the content has been cancelled. The only way for that to be definitively disproved is if the content is in the game, which we can probably agree it isn’t.
Now Frontier have said the content is still expected to be delivered, but who can know whether that will really happen, plans changing and all that sort of thing.

It's actually a nice sunny day here, bit cool and a bit windy but it was very relaxing this am sitting on the back porch stroking the neighbour's cat (he loves our porch 'cos it gets hot when it's sunny) and listening to the wind going thru the walnut tree's leaves. Yeah, there's a truckload more to life than games! But when it gets cold and dark and rainy, then games are a godsend. No, not really. When you claim that FDEV is a bunch of greedy and incompetent liars that's also quite personal. And it doesn't even address the videogame but the people developing it.
Feel free to say you were right when that happens. Usually nobody cares if someone was right at some point though.
I speak from experience.
Anyway, that's not how being right works. When I claim it will not rain next week and proof for that is that it didn't rain today it doesn't somehow make me right. It's possible that I will be right though.

Not sure if I should ignore these words like you suggested. Anyway I recommend that you stop employing a double standard if you want the other adults to take you seriously.
Calling people white knights and a cult is pretty much a personal insult.
'White knights' usually show up when you are unable to criticse the game but attack the people developing it instead.
