I won't dispute the frustration there - I've had that happen to me a number of times at Nav Beacons - when I started out. Does that mean I'm going to attack someone? Nah. Then again, I also don't intervene in a CMDR's battle unless asked for help. Just my style.

But friend, I pose the same question back to you - How many Anacondas have you "jumped in" on after another CMDR has already engaged? How many times have you said "well you moved 4k away, so the kill was mine"? See how the sword cuts both ways?


My advice? Don't hunt at nav beacons.

He is obviously going to try his damndest if collecting bounties is his intent. How else does he ascertain whether I am worth dying for? There is no other game mechanic available to him to find out whether I am wanted other than to scan me, ergo he can have his ONE scan.

Honestly I dont get involved with others fights, whomever gets the first shots off can keep it. Two reasons for that attitude. 1 Why would I expend ordnance and fuel for someone elses kill 2 I might get seriously damaged or killed myself and still not get the kill. If they start it chances are they will get bounty I will get nothing. They can keep it.

It is those that watch until the hull is low then jump in guns blazing, they need to deal with me and the target.

The idea of asking OP of a slightly trolly thread to step outside/inside and settle it like gentleman cmdrs is cool. Great thread. Hope the multiplayer aspects get worked out so we can see more like this. I'd be up for a scrap for laughs!

How about sidewinder league tournaments?

Actually the fight was great, you get used to what NPC ships do for a given scenario, but when it is human you never know what is going to happen.
