I wish I was in Colonia right now...

Hey!

So I've been following everything that transpired in the Nebula.. How factions went all the way to the Carcosa system to burn shipyards, and urinate on treaties. I felt compelled to write a little encouragement-letter to the Reapers out there, fighting a war against hordes of intruders. You guys came back with 2 successive victories, after you lost day 1. I have no idea how you mustered the manpower to push back with such success, seeing how even the interplanetary committee of communists joined the fray, but keep it up! Heard the "Spartans vs Persians" metaphor from someone, it's a hilariously fitting comparison. I'm on edge on taking the squadron carrier out there, and join the effort. All the confused mates would probably be miffed about the place they wake up in, however. :ROFLMAO:

But seems like you got this. Whoever went out there, to help our fellow anarchists out, you rock!! I wish I was you. But we also have some pressing matters back in the bubble, that prevent us from coming. Good luck, Loren's Reapers! Show these unwelcome guests out!

Many thanks for the kind and encouraging words.

Against some people's belief we and the shipyard have lots of support in the nebula. People saw what we did and who we really are in the last 1.5 years. The local HOA just doesn't like that and tries to paint a picture that everybody who just dares to speak up against them is a griefer. The only griefers are they themselves.
Whatever the outcome we thank all the people who helped and are helping us in the fight against tyranny and a cookie-cutter universe. Even if we loose Carcosa we will not go anywhere, the nebula is our home. We will keep supporting our friends and fight to prevent a bubble 2.0.

Viva la Resistance

Many thanks for the support, Commander!

We Reapers are a small, lore-based wing- and are astonished that we've attracted such attention. But raising awareness like this is how Carcosa stays free!

It's the strength and weakness of a game like Elite - thin content leaves room for community shenanigans and world-building. Some of the most impressive communities have been built up around some of the worst developed games (worst as in missed opportunities as much as just plain bad).

Thanks Nathan, much appreciated.
Would be cool if you were up here with us (y)

By the way: 500 million in massacre missions in the last 3 days of the war.
And it was just a bit of playing after work 🥳

For the first time in the game ever I've been taking massacre missions. Never felt the need to do them before even when throwing the Federation out of system control and I don't like the Feds (although I do have a Corvette that I sometimes use to throw them out, which amuses me greatly).

There's something distasteful about the groups involved in starting this war that makes massacre missions justifiable. It's likely a Genie that won't go back in the bottle. Oh my.

Thank you cmdr for your words of encouragement. It really strengthens our resolve to see people supporting our cause, because for us it's not a battle of egos, it's for the good of the whole nebula.

I don't know what the future will bring but I'm grateful for the present.

Fly safe.
