It's a slippery slope. I already think 3$ to rename each facility is too much. If the game goes too much towards players having to pay $$ for features and gameplay, people will lose interest. You have to strike a balance.

100$ in game sales personally I would uninstall, as it's not the kind of games I would like to get into, for ethical and financial reasons alike.

Would be nice to see this for systems that are currently just assigned numbers and letters in a string. Probably something Frontier would vet and filter to hell though. I assumed it would be part of the colonization thing from the start. I'd pay £5 maybe £10 via arx as sensible figure.

they would make a fortune. Please understand that it's my intent to keep this game going forever.

Go easy on the moneymaking. Too much too quick can be harmful. ED managed to earn its keep throughout the years.
I can see myself already spending more on installation names and (potentially) cosmetics alone.

I don't really like the idea of custom system names. Perhaps later, when new colony clusters thrive and survive, they can have a vote on a new regional theme.

Hence the idea that it could be a player toggle, to see custom names or not.

Then you have the choice of whether to see it or not.

Never gonna happen because people are horrible and the names would be, uh, horrible. Not any of you, of course, but the vast anonymous people that would name systems, uh, inappropriately.

Do you remember the clan logos in battlefield 4? Just drawings of di*ks and balls all day long on everything. People are horrible, horrible, horrible, but not you. You're not like them.

I'd love to dispute this but I've just had Frontier change my cmdr name from Muhbutcheek to something more 'mature' (as in, grown-up)
