Idea for Update 1.14

Upate 1.13 is out at gave us... some nice new stuff... But there are still so many things they are missing..

So here a little idea list for new stuff and some fixes in the look of a official update :)

NEW - Playgrounds
Kids now can climb and play on your own playground! With the lemur climbing frame, the meercat sandbox or the giraffe slide, kids can have much fun in your Zoo!

NEW - Enrichments and behaviors
  • Animals can now scratch their backs on all the trees and tree trunks! Make your habitats more relalistic without not fitting trees or scratching posts.
  • Waterfall SFX now are actuall water, so animals like elephants or flamingos can take a shower

NEW - Expand Genetic
  • All animals now show their family tree, so you can see which colour morphs could be in their ancestral lineage!
  • Your veterinarians can analyze hair samples from animals to determine which color factors they may inherit
  • All Animals with different Colour morphs now have a different factor information to see if the animals are carriers of the genes and whether they are dominant or recessive.

NEW - Seasons differences
  • Arctic Fox now change its fur - the black fox is no longer a variant
  • Fallow deer, red deer, reindeer and moose now have realisic antler behaviors. Watch them grow!
  • mating now follow the seasons
  • dhole and red fox get a fluffy winter coat

NEW - Rearing behavior and problems
  • most animals now have different stages
  • nest stools are cared for by their mothers until their old enough to walk around
  • all babies that are suckled now drink with their mothers and stay close to them until they are old enough to eat normal food.
  • babies can now die from various causes, like they do in zoos
  • lactating mothers may experience milk problems - zoo keepers and vets can feed babies per hand
  • reptiles and birds now lay eggs - Zookeepers and vets can collect them and grow them in an incubator to have a higher chance of healthy offsprings

NEW - Various new Herding/Pack AI and behavior
the with update 1.13 social system is extended and supplemented!

Animals now spend most of the day doing what they would realistically do. Grazing animals like zebras or Przewalski horses now graze predominantly, carnivores like lions or tigers spend the day predominantly sleeping/resting, apes spend a large part of the day maintaining mutual social contacts.

social animals within a group now visibly stay together. Outsiders keep a noticeable distance from the group to make their status as outsiders visible.

social animals now spend much more time socializing. For this purpose, several new animations have been added to complete this picture (list below).
The frequency of social interactions has been drastically increased for most species. Bonded animals show more frequent social interactions than other animals.

Animals no longer run aimlessly around the enclosure and ignore their group members!

Herd animals now flee together as a herd and no longer scatter.
Pack hunters now hunt their prey together as a pack.

NEW - Various new behaviors and animations
  • added different hug animations to monkeys and apes
  • added different cleaning animations to monkey and apes
  • added different cuddle animations to monkey and apes aswell as more playing animations
  • added some new cuddle and lay together animations to social animals
  • added special care animations for social animal parents which shows the conncetion between them and their offsprings
  • beaver now can build beaver damsto sleep in their or raise their children
  • apes can build leaf nests to sleep in their
  • walk in animals now interact with guests. they may ask them for food, tease them, perhaps nibble at their clothes.


New Shops

Animal feeding Station

the new feeding stations allow guests to buy food for various walk in enclosures.

Plushy shop
Guests now can buy various plushies (basegame and at least one special from every DLC).


New Show - Animal feeding shows
like in real zoos, guests now can watch different animals to be fed. zoo keepers make a show out of the feeding time and throw some food around.


New door mechanics

  • Door now fits the wall door frames - no more space between them anymore!
  • doors now can set to open/close

New Ballons and Hats
every dlc now give your at least one new animal hat or ballon for your gusts so you can sell more different stuff in different

Overhaul stuff buildings
  • all stuff buildings which be coveres in building pieces or foliage will not effect guests anymore. Same with underground buildings.
  • Keepers hut now have a guest interaction option. Guests can observe the animal keepers preparing the food, this increases guest education!
  • Veterianry surgery now got a new shape. It is now a way bigger building with additional building peaces such as research station, a station to raise orphaned and sick animal babies and a genetics lab to screen zoo animals for mutations.
  • quaratine building now have a new shape. all new animals and animals treated in the veterinary clinic come to the clinic until they are examined and healthy.
The quarantine area now has 3 different isulation enclosures per building.

Misc
  • special animal animations now are much more common
  • EVERY animal, basegame and DLC, got at least two different signes. No more missing animalsignes for basegame animals or early DLC animals!
  • removed species limit

General Buf Fixes and Improvements:
  • Animals
  • Japanese Maquace now use the hotsprings and tube tap correctly
  • Nile Monitor now able to deep dive
  • Fixed: animals now use matching enrichment items again
  • added more animal names
  • fixed: animals now interact with each other again
  • Guests
  • Improve Guests AI. Guests now walk to the nearest enclosures instead of walking through half the zoo.
  • guests now stay up to 5x longer in the zoo (so that large zoos are also well attended)
  • guests now revisit enclosures if they could not see animals there before (and there is still time)
  • Guests can take a selfie with their plushies fitting to the right animal
  • Staff
  • Added null path for staff
  • staff now use the nearest keeper hut or trading center at an enclosure

Just want to say the wall door frames are designed to fit the staff buildings, not the habitat gates or decorative doors
yeah I don't know where this new obsession has come from with the prop doors. They are decorative, not supposed to be functional.

I also don't know why anyone needs them to fit the door holes; guests and staff will walk right through solid walls if there's a path there. You can put down a plain solid wall piece, slap a prop door in the middle, and put a path through it, and it works the exact same way as it would with a door piece.
