For a comunity manager to ever use the ignore function, no matter how toxic the person. Well i would say they were bad at their job (sorry guys) You cant handle people that way. If you find yourself holding your nose check yourself

Please can we have the ADS back as previous version?
Hi all,
I just want the ADS back as it was.
And I could do without the two HUD modes.
Without it this game becomes even more of a time sink than before.
No good for quick casual playing.
Use of FSS needs to be optional and not required to do any exploration at all.
PS, errh why doesn't FSS do stars?

I don't think the CM would have anybody on ignore, especially when they can just ban people or tell them to be nice now or else. I meant if I was trawling the forum for feedback to pass to the devs I'd ignore all openly toxic posters on that account.
That makes absolutely no sense. We are paying frontier, frontier are paying them, so its actually their job to maintain the relationship.
Thinking that the devs are bubble wrapped snowflakes is so inverted.. that's us. We are the snowflakes.

Bit of a non-sequitur there - Stig is just pointing out what reasonable people know : shouting and raving at people is often counter-productive.

But even though they don't and never have really outside of formal pr i personally still hold them to it. How could you excuse someone from being what they are.
Yeah but just as we all may have to deal with dumb outbursts in real life... they have to manage it too. The notion that the devs will just go away is far more alarming than someone losing it on an internet forum being ignored. Someone being rude on the internet is part of its nature. A developer turning their back on their community because they can't handle something they themselves set up is not part of its nature.

No way should they ever be expected to read everything especially not dev bashing.
Its the toxicity that directly reduces communication.
No they don't need to deal with dumb outbursts, and nobody has to in real life either. If you are rude and shouty at people in real life expect to be treated at least that badly in return.
As for its the internet so everyone is rude, its OK for them to ignore you as its just the internet and you perceiving them ignoring you as being rude is therefore OK.
I have no idea what you are looking at, but it looks nothing like the FSS to me. I am not even sure why you are posting that image. Makes no sense.

Elite is a multirole game. Much like multirole ships, when you try to do everything at the same time you wind up doing all of them badly. Perhaps this is a bit less of an issue with a game like this, save perhaps when it comes to getting a particular thing done. In that case the time involved is greatly extended.
So don’t expect a miraculous CTRL+Z in 2019.

There was no need to remove the ADS/BDS/IDS from the game, the time taken to do so was wasted because the path to allow the minimising of disruption to existing players was overlooked.
All that's needed it to correct that oversight and more people are happy, everybody wins.

You again, still asserting incorrect information like you know better than Frontier. You don’t.
You do not know what NEEDS exist within the program code.
It’s already been proven this was not an oversight of any kind.
No correction of a non-existent condition will happen.
Now, if, and this is a huge, highly unlikely IF, any changes are made, you can count on them as changes, not revisions, not restorations. There will, in all likelihood, never be a BDS/IDS/ADS module ever again. This does not mean the FSS may not see any future changes, it could. But the old way is gone forever.
Yep, another waste of time. Could’ve just had the probe-business and kept ADS. Not wasted time on the silly, tedious, brainless, uninteresting, unimmersive, mini-game that is the eff-eff-ess.
(Yes, ADS was basic but it wasnt pretending to be a cool exploring tool like the woe-fully, mis-judged FSS).
It was just a cheap, garbage placeholder for the unimmersible.
Your Immersion (a word most don’t have the right to use, becasuse they don’t understand it) is far less important than everyone else’s fun, because Your Immersion is 100% Your Problem.
