If someone from Fdev streams themselves unlocking all the Guardian tech. I will eat my eye patch.

Sorry to parade in everybody's rain, but I've got some plasma chargers and a guardian powerplant now. Very dapper and zappy.

Easier than military rank, a bit harder than standard engineers but no big deal at all.

I don't like the fact of relogging.
Just make the fragment scannable after each qctivstion without having to deal with all those sentinels. Would be better.

In general, i need to agree with your findings, but the mechanism itself remains still repetitiv and not appealing over and over again.

To be fair, it's not about the difficulty, it's about repeating the same task over and over again. After the first couple of times, the puzzle gets old. If the guardian puzzles would drop 3 units like the other mats/data do, it would be a step in the good direction. Their recipe are way too greedy.

Don't do it, just visit other site's they are clustered pretty closely never more than a few jumps cannon have a list. Takes longer but it's more fun and you get to see the sights. If you configure your SRV like an FPS the sentinels are pretty easy (and drop tasty mats that you need), point defenses on top of you ship parked close by also help. If you close right in as they fire missiles the splash damage kills them, and you can use the terrain as cover.

I tried relogging on the module one in the spirit of seeing the other sides point of view, and to be honest it's a bit dull and samey. Variety is the spice of life.

Correct. Nothing about the unlocking guardian tech is difficult. It's just time consuming.

Just like how there's nothing difficult about unlocking engineers like Palin. It's just time consuming.

The trivial nature of the activities is what bugs me. I don't mind if something takes long to earn as long as the activities to unlock content are interesting or challenging.

I've stopped with plasma chargers, power plant and shock cannons which was the maximum I considered getting. I stopped before I got bored so I'm not concerned about doing it again later for other things.

I have a theory that one of the things that turns it into a grind for some is knowing you have to do more of it when you finish your current one, by not bothering to lumber yourself with that and being willing to break off at any time there's no pressure to it at all.

5-1 that Sandro and Ed come back with:

"However, on reading through the thread, one person seemed to have no problem with it and therefore we're not going to be looking at the Guardian Blueprints for the foreseeable future".

Two persons - I might not have a furry hat - but I think it's fine, other than needing the drop rate on bluprints tweaked....... for repetition's sake - IT'S A DROP RATE problem.... cough
Plus as Stigbob has been showing - you dont HAVE to unlock everything at once (Guardian or otherwise).
Plus I'm starting to get a bit narked at the number of folk feeling they "deserve" everything at once and right away - "where's my Guardian thingmabob ?, my End Game (tm) ship ? my NECTAR points .... I've earned them by simply logging in haven't I ? "
And if they don't get what they want, right now, the way they want it ..... "WAAAH you've ruined my precious"
Sure there are things in the game that can be improved on or done better - some additons , why not ?...... but please get a ruddy grip, bunch of weans greeting, really.

I enjoyed doing it, maybe you shouldn't try to do it all at once.

I got the Gauss Cannons and left it at that. I was doing the Ram Tah mission at the time so was incidental that i got the mats while figuring out the sites so i decided to get the weapon BP fragments. After getting 4 i decided the rest was going to be grindy and dull.

Id rather they change the mechanic and make it less grindy/repetitive so we can access the new guardian content in a way that respects our time.

To me the idea of just ignoring it is silly when FDev have the power to change it to be less repetitive. Maybe they will, maybe they wont. But its obvious theres at least an issue there for a portion of the player base givin this thread.

But frontier have shown a lack of will to engage with their player base here or in fact, anywhere. They didnt have to reply to this thread. They could have just made an announcement. Poor form imo

No,your missing the point, its not i want it now,its want to do something interesting/challenging to get it not something dull and repetitive. But hey might aswell twist it to suit your own arguement, your also not alone on that count.

Careful Lobey, there'll be a five page derail about how much you smell now complete with conspiracy theories about all your dark intentions.

On the bright side it is much funnier than all the whinging.

I don't think I deserve Guardian tech for just logging in. I just find the gameplay to unlock it too trivial. It requires little more thought than stuffing letters into envelopes. If you find that fun, congrats I guess, but not everyone feels the same way.

Yes it could be more jolly, no doubt - but if you got 3 or more bluprints each time ?..... then it's about par for how the various mechanisms work in ED.
Don't like those mechanisms ?, fair enough , but they aren't likely to change much anytime soon - enjoy the game for what it is or perhaps play another game.
Suggestions are fine and all, but I keep see-ing a lot of folk who don't like THIS game and want it to be some OTHER game.

I blame young people, I always have, even back in my day they were a pain in the bum...
Why, yes I do have an Onion on my belt.....

But you dont get 3,you get 1,so its even more grindy than the usual grind.

How about you let other people decide how they feel about the game rather than putting words in their mouth/deciding for them?

Plenty of us enjoy the game but are objective enough to see it has flaws, some obviously are not.
