I know right!

Nobody wants a give me everything button. Just stop with that melodramatic slippery slope. That's not how this works. You know that I think. What I want and what I think many people want is to be respected enough by the Devs as a playerbase that they are willing to set their own standard of tolerance for repetitive actions and padded gameplay to the same thresholds in their game for their players. For them to be willing to walk the same path they would send us on.
I think Fdev are not so weak as to collapse to every demand after accepting one valid fault. I do think they are strong enough to accept they are being called out on their disconnect with their players over a real issue in their game design. I do think they can be bigger than whatever lost pride they would have by accepting and at the very least attempting to address their flaws.

... it's optional end game content the "I refuse to grind" argument falls flat from anyone with a fleet they engineered under both V1 and 2 engineers over thousands of hours ...
That would be a good point.
If it wasn't for the fact there are a variety of gameplay options throughout the engineering process.
There is one thing to do to get gaurdian tech.
Which takes the same amount of time as unlocking some of the engineers, less so in the case of some of them for example the jump distance requirement for whichever one wants that. Mix guardians up with tourism or exploration, or break off back to the bubble it's only a 25 minute hop and things in mat storage you can't spend anywhere else are not going anywhere.
Doing it all at once is optional, and probably daft for anyone who doesn't enjoy it.

Maybe that's where we differ then, for me, time is irrelevant, variety is the key.
The suggestions of passenger missions isn't bad though, and it is probably somewhat less horrible for people who get a lot more enjoyment from "exploration" gameplay than me. It is still considerably less varied than the engineering process even taking those few things into account though.
Go to site place (wherever it is), do puzzle to UNLOCKE MISSIONE CHAINE.
Do missions (mixed stuff) for whoever it is who has interest in getting them done, I'm not lore savy, some of these orgs or one of them stupid hamster engineer masters to get rewards. I know they like RNG so much so they can put in their beloved crappy drop chances here in the reward tables.
Done. And Stigbob is NOT my uncle.
Now shut up and playe the game.
Page 84, eighty four, and still they arnt listening.
I don't know if this is news for anyone, but some of the guardian structures are only guarded by three sentinels that only spawn as you activate the data thing.
Makes the whole thing quicker, but considerably less shooty. Not so good for collecting sentinel asses either.
As has been stated, it has nothing to with the speed.
I thought the entire groan fest was about how long it takes, hence the demand for a livestream to demonstrate how long it takes.
Anyway earlier on someone was griping about the sentinels, this sentinel tactical data I have selflessly gathered and provided to the collective could help that cosmonaut to conquer his fears.
It's about how boring and uninspiring the gameplay is. I think most people would be happy even if it took longer but the gameplay was fun and compelling. Grinding out the exact same mechanic in the exact same place is not compelling or fun gameplay even if it was done over a long period of time.
The Tech brokers are meant to be a "personal narrative". It isn't. If they used a long chain of follow-on missions with the tech brokers to get a specific material at the end and contribute to the other requirements, a bit like a mini quest, then I could call it a "personal narative".
Sandro has said something along the lines of wanting to respect our time. Or respecting our time already.
Gotta agree. No more CGs please. They are just more pseudo-content.

Yup. Spending time doing the exact sme thing again and again. Now if you could use that time doing some compelling gameplay, it would be much better would it not?The OP goes on quite a bit about time.
