... if (whoever) destroys the bubble - for me this is "game over". End of story. End of game. Finis.

or maybe I'll start exploring the darkness beyond, sometimes much later. But not colonia. Don't like it. Don't want it. I am a man of the bubble.

Don't go to Colonia, (German voice) Zats just vat ze want us to do...

They will strike there FIRST.

I so want that to be true. It would amuse me greatly. But assuming the snivelling Colonia Quislings are correct and I could still be bothered to play. I would make it my mission to undermine their efforts and lend my support to the Thargoids.

Community goal 1: defense of Sol. Thargoid combat zones appear first around Neptune and move in to close the exclusion zone of earth as the week progresses. Failure means Sol turns into a volcanic HMC...

The Thargoids will not destroy the bubble. They seek only to enslave us.

And they will not use millions of warships to do it.

Because the takeover is already happening before our very eyes. The Thargoid stooges in the Alliance have been gradually laying down the infrastructure of occupation for years. Inexorably green creeps across the bubble.

The Thargoid encounters in the Pleiades are merely a distraction to get the Feds and Imperials to take their eye of the ball. Meanwhile the likes of the AEDC (Alien Emissary Deception Corp) have been extending the slimy green tendrils of Alliance control to the point where Sol is almost within in their grasp. Expect another ramp up of activity as the green menace reaches towards Achenar.

Mankind's industrious nature is too valuable a resource to destroy when it could be exploited instead.

Powerplay is our only salvation. Wake up Sheeple!

Chuckles Thargoidly

It's not about Colonia .. (example) it's about the struggle of the human race against a superior species. The destruction of the bubble and the forced exodus of the survivors of humanity, a new era for humanity; one of fear and trepidation. A fear that drives every man, woman and child to prepare for the inevitable; conflict with the Thargoids yet again. A year or two spend in preparation as we set a course to reclaim our home.
CMDR Adama? Is that you?

That is not necessarily true. An engineered Anaconda can easily do 60 ly per jump and easily do 60 jumps an hour. So 22000/60 = 367. Add 10% as you will never reach ideal jump distances: 403 jumps or less than 7 hours in game. Does appear quite doable to me. You could do it even fast by using the "Neutron Star Highway".

Not everyone wants an exploration conda up there. I brought my 20 ly conda there.

I understand that. I will have the necessary modules and weapons to get my Anaconda outfitted fully battle-ready in storage at my home system. Once I arrive in Colonia, I will have them shipped to me. Still expensive, but cheaper than shipping a complete Anaconda.

Its a reference to commander Adama , the military leader in the battlestar galactica series.. nice speech though :)

Ah! Thanks, never seen it.

Heh, I was trying to set the tone; stir some emotions to get people thinking more instead of shutting down to something as game-changing as a bubble-explosion and exodus to Colonia. :p

As much as you want to see human civilization destroyed and small group fleeing from their aggressor, you really should. At least watch the mini-series (2004) that started it all, if not the whole series. And, after watching the mini-series, if you don't want to watch the main series, you can skip to the movie "BSG: The plan" and watch in greater detail as the twelve colonies (their bubble) is burnt to a crisp again.

As for as changing minds, I will remain shut down to the bubble being destroyed. Colonia is still in a fledgling state vs. the huge, industrialized, bubble with 3 superpowers. If the Devs want to burn that, fine. But I'm out.

Admiral, if you please. :)

And, Don't Mess With The Schoolteacher. Out the airlock you go... :)

Only Admiral AFTER the Pegasus showed up and Khaine was killed. Other wise, it's CMDR like the rest of us. :D

Not. Quite. Don't call Bill Olmos "just a commander". :)

Sorry. Your thoughts reminded me of the closing voice over for Battle Star Galactica:

Fleeing from the Cylon tyranny, the last Battlestar, Galactica, leads a rag-tag fugitive fleet on a lonely quest: a shining planet known as Earth.
Just gotta replace a few words... :)
