PvP If WVW and PVP zones were available, would you participate?

Gotta interest you at some level. You are reading/posting in the PVP subfourm.

except this thread only just got moved from genpop ;)

(besides gotta keep an eye on the PvPers and see what the next massive change they want adding to the game which is at total odds with the lore and the hope i have for one day having a plausible economy in the PvE game :p )

I just don't understand why you wouldn't like it if the only cargo that affected the BGS was cargo acquired by destroying another commanders ship!?!?!?!

Same with exploration data, the only way that should affect the BGS is if I destroy an explorer and am able to scoop up his exploration data and turn it.

:) :) :) :)

and just to be clear, i am 100% kidding

No.Please no.This just further divides PCvPC enthusiasts with the 'carebear' stalwarts that refuse to play non-Open.The E:D universe and as a multiplayer game with supposed freedom needs to encourage interactivity amongst the community rather than forcing cliques and division.I love PCvPC encounters and welcome the unpredictability of such, that's why I play Open. I typically play a strong RP-style so try to maximise immersion where possible. Although the equivalent of "underground boxing rings in space" could work in an immersive sense, I fear that it will result in fewer PCvPC enthusiasts from the Open game at large making far fewer such encounters possible aroudn the bbubble, but also, that minority group of PCvPC advocates that do not relish challenge nor wish to accept possibilities of defeat will find no appeal in such a competitively PCvPC arena, and therefore they will remain at large in the main-game to prey upon those others YET WITHOUT the currently small possibility that there might chance a more experienced PCvPC enthusiast who can put them in their place, since such enthusiasts will be now too busy in the "CQC/Arena" substitute.---I've said this numerous times now across these boards - what's needed is a more INCLUSIVE approach to crime, punishment, piracy, PCvPC and player interactions overall - ertainly not more destructive and divisive "solutions" that leave holes in the game and community division.
