I'm bored with this game. What to do?

I have about 500 hours since December. Had lots of fun but now I'm bored.

I have the ships I want. Anaconda and Corvette. The grind to get Imperial Cutter is not worth it.

No need to mine anymore, I've got enough credits.

Combat is.......meh.

Exploration would be fun if there was something to do when you get there. Driving around on a barren planet gets old after 30minutes.

So am I missing something? What else is there to do?

Manually dock whilst wearing Marigolds and a tartan bonnet, what what

That should spice things up

It's not entirely implausible that Rockband VR resides in my Oculus library as the result of one night with far too many beers, browsing the store. Oculus store, like eBay, really should have a breathalizer as part of their purchase verification process.

i've mixed feelings about this too. a real size plastic guitar as a controller would seem like total waste to me ... but when i look at my twin joysticks and pedal in their aluminium stand occupying over a cubic meter of space ... ahem! 😅

i also have a full sized steering wheel wasting valuable space in a closet. in my defense, i took it from a friend who would have trashed it anyway. i'm now looking for someone to pass that heritage on ... :D

the game itself is not much my style, but i can see how it can have a lot of appeal for many.

I have this game as a result of some Intel bonus program, but when I saw how many coins I need to shell out for that plastic guitar I said hard pass. If I would to invest that kind of dough, I would have bought flat screen Rocksmith and a real guitar and used that.

Rocksmith is awesome fun. Still well worth the buy :)

Best advice I can give if you're bored with a game - not just this one, but any game really - go and play something else until to feel an itch to get back into it again. Works for me every time :)

Boo, boo on you Cmdr.

What we need is absolute overreacting and a huge ranting post that includes but is not limited to the following:

A. Git Gud
B. The game is rubbish
C. FDEV are rubbish
D. The community is rubbish
E. The game is a mile wide and an inch deep
F. I am uninstalling the game
G. Reasons
H. I have deleted both my Facebook and Twitter accounts
I. More reasons

I do believe the above is an accurate and worthwhile addition to this community, what what

I got caught with a necro about joystick settings recently, the tragic thing is that having decided to reply with some helpful content, even after realising it was a necro, I couldn't stop myself from posting the reply with the salient information contained therein...

Yeah, ED can get pretty boring. I've been playing since it came out and only have 2500hrs in game. The only thing I really like to do is exploration and well despite all the systems in ED it is mostly boring same same system after system. Plenty to see if you are a tourist but as an actual explorer I've been to over 6000 systems, collected of 1.6 bil in exploration data profits and have yet to find anything interesting.

Comparitively I have been playing X4 for only 2 years and have more than 4000hrs in game. Of course modding accounts for a lot of that time in X4 but my point is if a game is interesting I have lots of time to put into playing it. EOL, 10 years of daily play, Star Citizen up until the middle of last year I played daily since 2014 though much of that is NDA testing but I digress. Getting back to the thread topic I have to agree with the OP. ED is a shallow game that becomes boring quite quickly.
