I'm excited for the new c+p changes! Here's why!

Even if it is an imperfect solution, it is definitely progress. And griefers are not going to want to pad their resumes with Cobra or Adder kills. This game is finally headed in the right direction. Better late than never.

Perhaps they should have it impact ELITE ratings and mission access as well.

- Kill a lower Elite rated non-wanted fellow Federation of Pilots member and your ELITE rating counts that as a double negative instead.

After all, lore wise the pilot federation is very strict in regards to pilot conduct among it's members. Want PVP, do it in Anarchy or make sure both parties have "report crime OFF"

Personally im having the pathetic hope of a semi-realistic long term impact where one can truly be labeled a criminal and blocked from accessing high to medium security systems and reported by station when I get within scanning range.

Heck, expand criminal gameplay so we can install fake transponders to hide our true selves and sneak into high sec stations.
 
It's not enough on it's own to bring me back to the game... I want a whole lot more game in my game before I break out the joystick again, but if I that happened it'd make more more likely to come back to open i stead of mobius. I'm watching with hope.

Imagine an Elite with proper C&P and deep gameplay options to BE a criminal where smuggling missions between anarchy and high sec is DANGEROUS while being a trader looking for the big score HAVE to go to anarchy systems to find the cheap stolen goods they can sell for huge amount of cash in high sec.

But i have given up. So far all i see of Frontier is grindy and reactive fixes to gameplay and issues.
 
Frankly, I consider the caliber of player opposing these changes a strong indicator that FDev are on the correct path.

I'm beginning to think the grifers don't understand the point here. The new system isn't trying to stop griefers... it will however lessen their impact on other commanders and stop them from suicidwinding their way out of trouble.



Who cares how much your victim pays? How does this impact you?
If what "PvP'ers" really want is pew-pew, this change shouldn't worry them one bit. If what they really want is to annoy other players, then - yes... this will 'impact' you.

You've missed the point. I don't care about what they pay, far from it lol. I care that frontier is making ME pay a portion of THEIR rebuy , particularly in scenarios against bounty hunters when I'm defending myself. On top of that, BH'rs now get super cops, so paying that victims rebuy is much more likely.
