[IMAGE] Get in you Beauty! My First....

I got one before Xmas about 750 Light Years from the edge of inhabited space when I had to plot courses with the smaller ranges. As soon as I found it I ran home and handed the data in and got a huge amount for that system with a detailed scan.

I wonder how much you get for first to find now? As I got 8k today for just an earthlike, let alone without rings.

Thanks all - I'm on my way back, I've covered 6,000ly today which is a bit draining, trying not to get side tracked but it's hard work!

Found a nice neutron nebula too on the way, 22,000ly to go...

Ringed Earth-Like

Really Chuffed, been looking for a long time! :D

If you explore you will find.....

Earth-likes are looking better, clouds improved. But water and clouds still don't seem to ever have the vibrancy of shots of Earth. Maybe it's just my monitor but I'm thinking the blues should sometimes be deeper and the whites brighter.

Or maybe these are post-processed?

As a thank you all for you comments I took a break from returning home to make this flyby for you...

Added to original post also.

Oh no! Just before the debug cam view! D'ya think you could get some obstruction free shots of it in a week, or are you gone?

I'm afraid I have left, I am now 9,000ly away from that location, trying to dock before 1.2 is released - 21,000ly to go!

Didn't find any ringed Earth-likes on my Exploration: Ironman sojourn, but I did find some nice systems...

Here's an Earth-like with a Water World co-orbiter which is a terraforming candidate...

A fly-by shot of the water world - I liked the colour of the blue and the polar cap with a nice texture to it...

Next to them is a Terrestrial water world, also a terraforming candidate...

I also found an extremely interesting system with three terraforming candidates and one Earth-like, but I'm going to make a separate post for that.

Oh and I already submitted my data to UC, which is why I'm showing the names ;)

Good mix of land and ocean. wonder about the viability of a colony with the potential for meteor strikes from the ring, unless it is an ice ring... but could be a very rich colony if setup. beautiful. +1 rep mate :) bet it makes all that jump grinding worth it!

Very nice find, Nutter! In my journeys I have yet to find something as nice-looking as that. But I will keep trying. :)

+1 rep.

Haven't checked to see if this is listed as earth-like, or water world:

Definitely got rings though - and it's right in the middle of inhabited space. I'm currently pottering around putting some credits back into my account before heading back out for the next adventure. No idea where I'm headed. I may print off a picture of the galaxy, tape it to the door, and throw a dart at it to see where I should go. Only problem is that my aim is so bad I'll probably kill next doors cat.

Nutter, were there any terraformables in the system? It looks like it was around a binary for you; if there are enough terraformables you may have found the system (or a system) with the requirements I'm looking for https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=110102 (note that I got an artbook recently and one of them might need to be ringed as well)

Here's my one I found, and location.

Binary system but orbiting a Brown Dwarf - It did not look like any CFT were there, I brushed past on my way home, so only scanned a couple.
