Imperial Navy rank-up missions MIA in 3.0...?

Firstly, you don't have to explain to me how to rank up or how and from whom to expect / find the navy rank-up mission.
I'm well beyond 100%, so its not a rounded up 100% on the display either.

I've never had any issue getting the rank-up mission within a short time after passing 100% from an Empire faction I'm allied with.


But since in 3.0, HGE's don't spawn in systems with more than one sun anymore, and the mission descriptions had a complete overhaul, there could easily have been a problem introduced in the patch.

I did make sure to read through all the different missions, since FD may have changed their previously obvious "naval" naming, but no luck.

Oh yeah, and they removed materials from boom data missions, afaik without giving notice in the patch notes.


Has anyone ranked up since 3.0 hit us in the face?

Yup, Fed Navy Courier mission. Day before yesterday as a matter of fact.

Do you remember if it was still on top of the mission list?
And unmistakably designated as Navy in the title?



There could theoretically be an issue with it being the final rank in the ladder - from Prince to King.
But with the federal Navy, it was no problem to get the last rank in the same way as every other rank.

Funny, I just got it! Only problem is, that it requires a ship with 180 tons of cargo space! wth...

So, umm, owning a trade ship is now a requirement to rank up?

Only thing you can do in that situation if you don't have the ship for it is to wait for another type of mission to spawn (assassinate terririst leader, kill pirates, 'go pick up some black boxes at system x for me & bring them back', etc)

Yeah, its the ONLY thing in more ways than one - cause if you come back to the mission board after either transferring or switching to a suitable ship, the mission is not there anymore...

I tested, before actually transferring a ship, to see if I could go out and back in to the mission board, but its gone...


There would seem to be an infinite number of ways to make things annoying, but FD seems to have found them all, with the same skill and diligence they used to render the entire milkyway...

I finished both fed and imp ranks since 3.0 if you are having trouble finding appropriate missions for your ship just go to a system in boom so you get the navel/fed courier missions

I got my fed navy rank mission yesterday after doing the skimmer spammer turning the missions in noticed skimmer missions were removed then saw the fed navy mission.

Skimmer missions are removed from the game? As in ALL skimmer missions?
That's annoying, they could have just nerfed the payouts, like they didn't <remove> all passenger missions, but just made them not interesting to anyone who needed a lot of money..!?!

Temporarily to investigate why everyone was lotsa creds.
