Impossible to apply for colonization

I want to apply for colonization of the system (it is marked as available and on the system map there is a marking of the main station), but it is impossible to apply, what to do?

Relog a few times first. It might already have an owner and something hasn't updated properly from the maintenance this morning.

I've been trying to start colonizing this system for 2 weeks now, even wrote to FD support about it, but never got a good response or help from them

Some systems aren't possible to colonise due to 'reasons'. It could also be that the particular system you want has some kind of bug and no-one can claim it.

If it's within 15 ly of a bubble system or other colonised system and it's not one of the ones that FDev have kept aside, it needs someone with more knowledge than I have to answer.

Could it be related to this:

A temporary system has been introduced relating to "System Claim Unsuccessful" errors - after one such unsuccessful claim, the system will be marked as invalid and no further claim attempts will be permitted.

• This is a known issue which is caused by the game being unable to locate a suitable position for the initial starport, which can occur for many different reasons. Repeated claim attempts by any player on an affected system will never result in success.
• As these positional issues are resolved, affected systems will be removed from the invalid list and will once again be claimable.
