Since FD in it's infinite wisdom made the decision to allow power play and the BGS to be influenced by solo/pg players, people who bought this game and have a competitive mind set have to create their own toys in this sandbox, because the toys provided are not worth playing.
So, ED-PvP discord bot has been created. It checks the journal files and keeps a record of how many kills and deaths a commander has, and other bits and pieces of info about the combat carrier.
It looks like this:
What this means is that you can forget about the illusion that your death was unnecessary and that your killer got nothing out of it.
So next time your shieldless mining vessel gets killed with hundreds of tons of LTDs in it, or your months long exploration trip ends in disaster because you failed to plan your trip right and somebody was kind enough to point it out for you, you don't have to get mad anymore and wish cancer on the entire family of that space jockey. Just take a big breath and be happy for that guy who has now another point on his/her kill sheet, and you can be proud of yourself that you helped advance a pilot achieve things you can't even dream of yourself.
What can you do about it, you might ask.
The obvious answer would be to learn the game, use shields, build a proper ship and learn to fly it, plan your routes...but of course that is out question for someone that purchased this game to be an instant Han Solo, sporting some nice paint-job on a ship that you earned by exploiting a bug, in a few hours.
The other answer would be to pressure FD to give parts of the game that are currently neglected like Power Play and in general PvP the attention they deserve, and make stock toys in the sandbox fun and playable.
Ps: Ofc anyone access to this forum answer whatever they want, but I will ignore the usual like "i just play solo like everyone should", "you should pay for my premium xbox sub", "I will sue frontier if they do anything different from what they said in their kickstarter pitch"
It is only information for those that cannot understand why they get killed in open.
