PvP In defense of murder (in game)

First, all references to murder in this post relate specifically to killing elite dangerous CMDRs.

So I was at Robigo in my fdl. Five minutes before I'd been running passenger missions in my suicide python in open.
Now I was in my totally overpowered death machine and I wanted to tease other cmdrs.
I pull an AspX out of supercruise. He had fought the interdiction. One plasma volley and he was down to half health.
"STOP" I message him.
The idea of killing him hasn't crossed my mind yet.
"Target FSD charging"
[•••]
In that moment, I decide to pull the trigger knowing full well that another volley may destroy him. It does.
I get a wave of genuine guilt (Yes absurd I know!😂). He was in all likelihood a peace loving explorer, hell, maybe it was Obsidian Ant😂. He simply made the mistake of being in a very vunerable ship in a CMDR heavy system like Robigo whilst it was anarchy. Fighting the interdiction. And not stopping, although I don't blame him for not trusting me.
I am heading to Robigo mines to clear.my bounty (I'd got one for opening fire too close to the station earlier).
There is guilt, but I have enjoyed myself. I enjoyed destroying this completely outmatched CMDR. It was thrilling to be so overwhelming powerful, and to use that power to destroy a cmdrs ship.
When I get to Robigo mines I am denied docking. Someone is on the only medium pad. It is the very same cmdr!

"Apologies for destroying your vessel. You should have stopped. I would not have continued. Now, please leave the pad I need to use it. I will not harm you."

"Hmmm, maybe I just go make a tea now" he replies.

"Cmdr, don't be foolish. If you do not leave in the next two minutes I will hunt you across the galaxy and destroy you wherever I see you"

"People like you ruin elite dangerous" he says. [???]

"Cmdr, I'm sorry for destroying your vessel. You have two minutes to leave."

"I need to go for pee now ha". From the security of the pad he is mocking me.

"You've signed your own death warrant cmdr. I hope you like fear." His two minutes are up and I jump to supercruise, hanging in space outside the outpost.
Not even a minute later he appears in superxruise.
Immediately I interdict him.
He fights it.
In normal space when I get my five plasma accelerators trained on him he is boosting away and popping sink after sink. I can't get a lock, I have no reticule.
I boost towards him and let the nose of my fdl sit on the side of his asp, and at point blank range two volleys destroy him again.
I am satisfied. The sadism has been thrilling, and I get revenge for his mocking. And confirmation if any was needed (it's not) that I can crush him on a whim. Not because I'm a better pilot but because I'm flying an absolutely terrifying murderboat and he's a harmless explorer in a shieldless asp. And no bounty. The power in this part of the galaxy is perfectly fine with slaughter.
But there is guilt. I try to shake it off.

I decide to not chase him across the galaxy or destroy him if I happen to see him again.
Hell, if he was to send me a friend request I would accept it and help him if I could.

But there is only guilt and pleasure and a really powerfully compelling experience.
I recommend everyone does it once.

Commuting murder in elite dangerous is an incredible experience. I am yet to be desensitized to it. If you don't want to do it then cool nevermind. But I wanted to try to help people to understand why some do it. And give an indication of the emotions it brings. Killing cmdrs in a fair fight is a very different experience. You can feel accomplishment and pride at your skill. Killing those cmdrs that are completely defense less is another experience. And one very much worth having.
Let's keep the galaxy dangerous for all.

I cannot talk about real life here because I cannot do it justice. Just let it be known I don't believe in hurting people, anybody.

I do enjoy a good murder spree from time to time. It atualy makes it feel even better when they send you some bleeting message about how bad and nasty you are. I do try not to do it in a ship thats invincable tho, i mean killing harmless cmdrs at a CG with a viper or eagle is even more fun as it gives the ilusion they might stand a chance lol

I live my life in ed in the full knowledge that this can happen and play in an acording manner so im realy just educating the uninitiated on how things go down in the black.
Or so the little dude on my sholder tells me after whispering "kill them, they are week" into my ear.

We’re it me, I’d have not gone for tea, I’d have gone for dinner, a movie, a bar crawl, some with-the-wife time, and possibly fired up NMS for a few hours. You’d still be sitting waiting for me to move. I might have camped the pad for an entire week.

Might have even called in some friends to camp the small pads for a few days too, before finally switching modes, taking off to Beagle Point or some other distant place... but I don’t play in Open, so no worries.

Thanks for the rep.
Also I forgot to mention how indebted I am to cmdrs like the one I destroyed for playing in open and not combat logging even though it was totally "unfair". Elite dangerous is the first proper multiplayer game I've played, and it really would be lessened without other cmdrs.
My hope was that through relaying the experience, people could understand it better. And through understanding experience we connect with different people.
Getting a thrill is actually the entire point of an entertainment product

I don't see any thrill in destroying a weak ship. You got blood lust plain and simple.
Bravo you stepped on somebody tiny.
That's not a thrill to me.

Give me an adversary every time that can match my skills and make it a challenge and not like stepping on a bug on a sidewalk.

+rep for 'suicide passenger Python...in Robigo'.

See my sig.[up]
And yes, I get plenty of rebuys, but it makes the missions a lot more entertaining.

Hey speedcuffs,
Yeah it's got a full sized a rated distro g5 charge enhanced, and dirty drag drives g5. The rest is all trash. So it can go some when it needs to! Maybe even just enough to survive and highwake.
It's called :"botany bay"... 😂

Hey OP you had to expect some salt for this post. This is part of why Powerplay is fun for me. Even the newer CMDRs have had to pledge to my enemies. Takes away the guilt. I still dont kill harmless or competent folks (unless they already have an Anaconda). That es me off for some reason. Probably because of how hard we use to have to work for money and rank.

I feel differently. I either enjoy the challenge of escape or go to solo if experiencing ganking. But then again I fly small ships so I ain't masslocking anyone.
