In game tools to find sell location

The answer is verry simple but no one actualy said it in this thread.. you whent close but didnt said it.

I whant to improve my tecnique to be 100% sure then (if its not against terms of service) I will post the link to the video.
Its so simple that I dought my self… but I never noticed… and since no one here actualy responded accuratly maby I wasnt the only not realizing.

If you are curius be patient a few days and I will show you..

Unfortunately you have boxed yourself into a corner. Here are the possibilities:

A) You truly believe you have discovered an amazing ingame method that nobody has ever noticed. Far more efficient and better than anything. Its incredible! But you won't know this for certain until you make your big reveal. While possible, it is highly unlikely.
  • If you post your solution and you are correct... amazing! Genius! Generations to come will praise your name.
  • If you post your solution and and its either common knowlege or just garbage... you look like a moron.

B) You have nothing and never did. Just a ruse to get people to short-term click on your youtube stuff. Kinda a dead end strategy.

Luckily for you the combination of annonimity and rapid forgetfullness of the internet works in your favor.

Well.. I repeat my self.. I think I found somthing that no one ever told me or spoke about in a multitude of ocasions.
I came across it casualy.

I give out a few hints and some replay are besacly it.. but with a “thing” missing A thing that “I” only noticed now.. in a way I was hoping that some one actualy said this “thing” to me becouse its so ovvies now that its infront of me and it looks prete simple.. its nothing massive so lower your expectations… but if you realy whant to use ingame tools its a ”thing“ that makes it at least possible..

and when I ask for information about using in game tools you have to say this “thing” to me otherwise I could just stomp on it casualy or never realize that I dont have to look in every sistem to see where good prices are……

so when I actualy will show you dont you dare say to my that im a morron becouse if I ask how to use in game tools you ABSOLUTLY have to say this “thing” to me or you are not given me all the info I need.

Hey man, it's awesome that you enjoy the hunt. Don't get me wrong, if that's your thing, that's fantastic. I personally do not find that process satisfying. What satisfies me is efficiency and watching my credit balance skyrocket in short order so that I can get back to combat, exploration and engineering racers without having to worry about being able to afford anything I want along the way.

But this is all just preference and playstyle.
You should try massacre mission stacking. All the cash of mining without the mining. 🤣

If you want, look for the topic in my messages, it's from a long time ago and I'm not interested in telling you about it, I'm sure they will entertain your afternoon
I see, you are much more helpful than the players you are complaining about... very nice move commander, o7

But back to topic... you've already made your guess for what is the big unknown secret in trading tools in the game?

I don't know about the second one. Sure, if it's wrong, hard luck. But there's "common knowledge" and there's "common knowledge which has had a decent tutorial video made" - there's plenty of value in presenting existing but semi-obscure information in an accessible fashion.

You’ve either got something or you haven’t, you’re either going to share it or not.

Most folks seem to have way more credits than they know what to do with, so it’s not really valuable information.

And you think people that are closely studying the game for literally years have not found it yet?

I mean, you got your first reply from Ian which is quite an authority on anything market/bgs/economy related stuff and his site/tool is keeping a close watch on anything happening in Colonia

Anyway, as i already said, i'm really looking forward to you to publish your findings, but i'm not having any hopes regarding a potential breakthrough.
Still, even a guide to something which is not exactly common knowledge will do it.

The game has changed so much since the last time I played that it couldn't really serve those old excel sheets or apps that don't even update

Then you should actually start playing the game and use tools that are updated and are using actual ingame data.
Like Inara or EDDB or EDSM.

However, if you think (like OP for example) that using out of game tools like Inara, EDDB or EDSM is cheating* - then you should accept that other people might have other opinions and might even mock you up.

*(which is obviously NOT, according to the only rules that matter - which are the ones defined and enforced by FDev)

Hello,
I dont know if I descovered somthing big.. no one seams to talk about it and every time I asked in the past the answer was basacly NO !! Forum post, YT videos no one seems to know..

Can you use in game tools to find mining sell location or profitable trade routs? (And by profitable routs I mean 50k per ton profit)

The answer for me its YES and for the “actual inara market” I find beter results with my tecnique.

Before I tell I whant to see if realy no one noticed.
Sorry for being vage but im quite hiped about it!

I just started a Youtube chanel in italian and will share the information if its big

So please tell me what you know about using in game tools to find selling points.

Thank you
Well, personally, I've never bothered with using the out-of-game trade tools myself.

90% of the time, my own knowledge of the trade relationship between economic types, combined with the effects of faction states, is just as good as whatever Inara or EDDB.io will provide. The time I save actually playing the game, rather than going to a website that may have out of date information, more than makes up for perhaps losing, at most a few tenths of a percentage difference in profit. This has allowed me to find nearby sources of CG commodities where the websites say none exist, to find source and return mission cargo, and to find good trade routes.

The other 10% of the time, the current in-game tools provide me with the information I need.
  • The "produced by/consumed by" information listed on commodities description on a station's commodity trading screen
  • The commodity tab on the galaxy map
  • The "trade route" tab on the galaxy map
Usually in that order.

If there's something I missed, I look forward to learning about it. I don't get to play this game as often as I'd like, especially these days, and I'm not so arrogant as to believe there's nothing new I can't learn.

Absolutely, informational videos are great. And tips & tricks are always welcome.

I have been playing for over 5 years and I am constantly learning new things. Also re-learning things I knew but forgot all about. I don't present these things on a forum or videos as newy discovered game changing features with a guessing game on what these features might be. (Oh boy... have to wait and see for the big reveal!). I understand the concept of hype, but after this if the OP is presenting info that is commonly known it will look quite silly.
