Incentive for hauling in Open Play

How about this, remove solo play, and when someone quits in space, 30 seconds before they disappear, if they are attacked, 15 minutes after they were last in engagement (last shot). It's the only feasible way to allow all player roles to hold equal opportunity. Anyone who says they prefer the safety of solo play clearly doesn't pay much attention to their surroundings, and has a very low sense of self preservation.

My question is, what is this fascination with trying to get people to play "open" if they dont want to or care to? It benifits no one but those that want people in open . The rest of us dont care.

Because Elite is kind of boring as a single player game, which is what everyone playing Open is stuck playing. I don't understand playing a game and being completely adverse to risk, but it seems the Elite community is generally not adventurous at all.

Wasn't expecting a carebear community, but hey what can you do? Oh yeah provide an incentive to do something more challenging. The OP is onto something.

The Solo Players Shuld be punished, it should not affect the open worl glaxy it should not be able to be use to amass great weath and then be able to bring that over to open play, solo mode should not even be a thing and will ruin this game

And people who play open in Australia, who you will never see because of the high ping or because its
3am for the rest of us, they be punished too?

Boring for you perhaps but the popularity of the game in previous iterations proves that many are happy to play with just the AI as company.
You are never going to get a massively populated open game as the most players you will see around you at any point is 32, so thinking that if everyone joined open, the game would become an MMO in the Eve sense is a complete fallacy. The best you could hope for is you would see a greater variation of players in your particular instance.
As long as you have 32 players who are in your geographic area who play at the same time as you what reason do you have to want more?
Not only did you misunderstand the "Carebear" aspect, but it seems you misinterpreted the "MMO" aspect too.
